I agree with Ken. There is nothing broad shouldered about a 42L.
Lol, I guess I just have the impression compared to the rest of my body. 42" chest and 32" waist is no bargain to buy suits.

But for sure I won't be trying out for the football team any time soon.

Oh c'mon....
I was 5'1" and 105lbs as the starting weakside OLB on JV. I was also the starting left wideout on offense.
As a junior, we won the SFCityChampionships, and I was starting right CB and alternate tight end on offense at 5'3" and maybe 110 lbs.
I slipped back to kicker and punter as a senior, weighed right around 120, and could still tackle any running back on "1 on 1 box" scrimmages. That's putting a guard or tackle in front of me, a RB with a 5 yard start, and I have to bring down the RB within 5 years of scrimmage, or I don't make the lineup.
I reason my demotion as an effect of my breaking my right ankle, needing a rebreak, just before the season started.
Size is important, for sure, but it isn't everything.

So how did you grow so much during high school? Was it genetics or were you doing alot of exercising producing HGH?

5' 8''. though i'm a better player now at ~165 i was definitely a better mover at 155 when i was in 10th grade during track season, i felt like i could run down twice what i do now. i was up to 180 a few years back but started exercising again.

with increased muscle and lower body fat i feel that my weight goal should be around 160-165, which is what i am now, but with less bf would be the goal (cmon 6 pack!!)

9th grade, I was around 4'9" and 80lbs. with under 80 exponents, playing JV basketball (first string) and longjumper in the spring.
I graduated high school at 5'6" and 120 lbs., and within a year, grew another 5" after that......late bloomer, I guess.
My non athlete brother was 5'10" and 160 lbs in SEVENTH grade.

Going through some pics and ran across one of me in high school. I was 6'3", my legs and head made up 5'3" of me.

I didn't mean to imply that being small was any kind of advantage. Given choices, I'd be 5'11" and 255lbs for football in high school. Maybe 6'9" and 240 for varsity basketball. But I was what I am, and was the leading rebounder for LincolnHigh my sophmore and junior years. Blocking out my specialty, and getting under the taller player's fingernails with movement and obviously, low center of gravity. Space was taken by early jumping, and I could jump higher without taking a step than most anyone.
For tennis, I wish I could be 6'3" and 175lbs.

Hope so, I grew about 3" after I graduated HS. Still waiting to fill out and be able to grow a respectable beard.

About how old are you J011y? You may have already filled out. I have friends near 40 that can't grow a full beard or get the goatee to connect from stache to chin

I figure being 6'3" I'd have a real serve with some angles.
And just able to move and move back.
And cover lots of court with one step.
Try that at 5'11". Oh, I guess Rosewall, Connors, McEnroe, Hewitt, and Chang tried and did OK.
Notice I didn't say I wished I was 6'9" for tennis. That would be short lifespan, barely a change of direction, and bending over every entranceway.

I went from 5'8 192 in August to 5'8 134 today. Have played only a couple of times since I started my weight loss regimen (because of the weather) and I feel I've lost quite a bit of power but gained agility. Need to pump some iron to get back the power.

So you're saying LeytonHewitt doesn't have enough power for your level? LH really weighs around 145, at 5'9".
Can you can handle JustineHenin's ball with no effort? She's 125lbs for real.
The racket provides the power, you supply the timing and swing speed.
Doesn't take big muscles to swing a 12 oz racket, it weighs less than one pound !!!:shock:

wow, i wish i grew after high school...or during high school.... i was 5'2'' ~130lbs in 5th grade, 6th grade was 5'4'' 114lbs, 7th 5'7'' ~140lbs, 8th 5'8'' 150lbs. and i stayed 5'8'' forever and 155lbs till 10th, moved to new state and gained weight to 180lbs. then dropping it again when i started tennis again, thank god for tennis or i would've never had the motivation to exercise.
