Tecnifibre/Eagnas

There is a seller on e bay that has a couple of Tecnifibre electronic machines for sale. He says they are made by the same company that makes Eagnas. Here is the text.

Tecnifibre ES 300 constant pull stringing machine in excellent condition. This machine is made by the same company that makes Eagnas and has many of the same features as Eagnas electronic machines. I guess its kind of like a Toyota being branded a Lexus. These are not the same machines as the Tecnifibre TF series which are very well known and high quality. I would say these machines are not as good quality as the top end Tecnifibres but are decent and I think the price reflects that. The quick action clamps are excellent quality. These machines (as we have another one for sale) were originally obtained exclusively to string for the Odlum Brown Vancouver Open which is a $150,000 ATP event which we are the official stringers for. These machine are very accurate as well known players Like Sam Querry and Justin Gimelstob had their rackets strung with absolutely no complaints. The machine has all the bells and whistles like knot tension, auto different tension for main, and cross, lb/kgs etc.Sorry can't find the manual..Just email us if you have questons..The machine has had approx. 100 string jobs on it.. No warranty or returns and is sold AS is. Please have all your questions answered before end of auction. NO RESERVE!!

I dunno. I saw the same stuff and they either have to be old as anything or just stickers on the machine.

The machines are obviously poorly thought out as the tension button are so far from the gripper.

People shouldn't let the words "Tecnifibre" on the machine fool you as I have never heard of a ES300 or ES310. I have seen some of the older TF models (SPs and Majors) but never a machine like this. Granted, I am no expert on TF machines as I haven't been around long enough and that I have never used one besides the 7000. If I remember correctly, TF makes all their machines in France, like Babolat. This looks like a POS Porex or random other ROC-based company.

Bottom line: Avoid at all costs

I've just looked at the auctions (nums : 180209180221 & 180209175141) and they don't look like proper TF machines. The only current machines TF make are the TF6000, 7000 & 8000 and they're nothing like the ones being offered. Even the older Tf machine like the procord aren't the same.

On inspection of the pictures, they seem to be Eagnas machine with TF stickers on them. The Eagnas machines I'm referring to are the Plus 8000 http://www.eagnas.com/plus8000.html and the Smart 6000 http://www.eagnas.com/smart600.html

You may get a bargain, but caveat emptor-buyer beware on what you'll actually get

2nd one looks better. Plenty of bids on them. Surely all the bidders know something more about the machine

The tension button looks like it is in the same place mine is at,at least on the 2nd one, hard to see the 1st one on that pic. I have a Sam Promaster ,it is the white plate directly behind the linnear gripper, and it is ideally placed as it works out nicely at that spot. This machine looks a little similar. ? about your comment on the tension button far from gripper, as it looks like it is immediately behind it?Unless you know where it is, it just looks like it is in the same place as mine, the white plate directly behind the gripper. So obviously these machines were well thought out. I am very happy with my machine and am not looking for another, but this looks like it may be a bargain for someone looking for a machine with limited funds.
Looks like /similar to this manuf. models http://www.shoppinguide.com.hk/product/product_details.jsp?id=996
although there are knock offs on just about anything out there.I heard that eagnas makes knockoff's of good machines out there, so could be difficult to tell what is knockoff or not or there could only be a few manufacturers of these machines and many distributors with their names branded on them as to identify the difference. Also what is to stop one manufacturer from making some of the models of another, as this goes on with a lot of other products, just like autos, a few years ago the japanese made a # of Chrysler cars for them.

Tecnifibre emailed me today and said the machines are not Tecnifibre machines. He said they are either counterfeits or have had Tecnifibre stickers put on them.

The buyers seem to have a good deal. One sold for $569 plus $175 shipping and the other sold for $770 plus $175 shipping. That's around, or a little better than half of what the Eagnas machines sell for.
