Tecnifibre grip increase/shape adjustment size 3 to 4

Looking to alter both the size and grip shape. Looking to round out the grip shape plus add a size with athletic tape. I’ve seen since it’s more rectangular - would adding strings to the top bevels and then two layers like an overgrip - alter both grip shape and build the grip?

Used to babolat grips and need to be a 4 1/2.

Does the balsa method really work? I posted two of my grip size 3s for sale.

The guy at my racket shop said babolat used to have the full size build up sleeves that only added 8-10 grams back in the day

Sure thing - I’ll show both the bare hairpin and with L3 + L4 pallets on. The tec hairpin fits head pallets better than Wilsons do in my experience

Just adding a heat shrink sleeve will give it a more round shape as it becomes proportionately wider than taller. If you want it even more round, get a half size heat shrink sleeve, then add racket head tape to the side bevels before adding the sleeve.

I have attempted to use a digital calliper to measure the L3 hairpin (trap door off, around the foam) and spare Head TK82S L3 pallets I have. This is after I have changed the TF buttcap to a Head buttcap, just to be clear.

It seems doable without having to don’t much of a “surgery”, if you know around the tools you need. The main thing is to ensure the pallet can sit on the hairpin with proper adhesive, and then cut to size.

Was very close to perform this operation, then decided to switch back to the pair of PA23s…. lol

There are a lot of used 4 1/4 racquets out there here in Australia, I'm interested in getting one cheap and giving this a go.

I recently experimented with putting a pallet on a 20year old Pure Drive, and that went ok, thought this might be the next one to try
