TECNIFIBRE ICE CODE

I would try a little higher tension, I strung it at 26/25 kg in my CX200+, and the stringbed had a soft feel right from the first hit, control decreased only slight from excellent to very good. When I string my TF40 again (now at 23,5 / 22,5 kg), I will increase tension a bit also, like 25 / 24 kg.
I have the 18g strung at 45/43 in my modded TF40 305 and the tension seems fine to me. Maybe I can go up 2/3 pounds, but I'm also playing in 45 degree weather so I didn't want to string it up so high.

Just logged my first two hours with this string. Man what a great string happy that I finally got to test it. So much control and very comfortable for a stiffer string. I have it in at 48lbs as a cross string.

im using the older phantom pro 100 16x18, I bought some ice code from the last happy hour special.
I used 16g ice code on the mains, and 17g ice code on the cross. I went with 47lbs all around. After logging about 15 hours on it, here are my thoughts:
Exceptional ball pocketing-it felt as if the ball velocity off the stringbed rewarded me with the same energy that i put into the swing.
High level of Control and predictability- From the serves to the ground strokes, the touch drop shots, the control was all there. The ball placement was spot on where i wanted the ball to go, with either slow or fast strokes.
Spin-less spin than most textured polys, so i would say about average spin production in an open string pattern. Using 17g in the cross probably helped a bit in the spin department.
Tension maintenance: This is where the string really shines. This has to be one of the most consistent playing polys I have ever used. After the initial drop off after the first outing, the tension felt consistent up until now, and i have about 50%left on my main strings which i estimate I will snap the strings within the next 15 hours.
The string is also very arm friendly. no elbow issues at all.

Overall if Technifibre made a textured version of Ice code, I might be all over it. Im not sure if i would fully commit to switching over (because of the higher cost)but I would rank this as one of my top 5 favorite polys. Im a 4.5 usta ranked player
