Tecnifibre Official - Racquets

I was wondering about foam filling. Apart from the TFight 305, the other Tecnifibre racquets filled with foam (IGA, TFight 300 and 315) do not have a higher SW than racquets without foam filling.
Is it because the foam is very light? What is the weight of foam placed in the racket? Or are there only small area that are filled? Anybody has an idea of how much does the foam weigh in the head? Just curious.

Well you may be right
But I have a weird track record of liking quite different racquets :)

I would definitely give the 300 RS a try. I found it to be the perfect middle ground of a lot of racquet characteristics.

Behaves like a tweeter in terms of performance - big spin from super open pattern, easy power, whippy and maneuverable while also being surprisingly stable for its weight

Feels like a players frame - amazing feel. So rewarding when hit in the sweet spot. 23 mm beam still allows for good touch, slice and volleys.

I found it actually plays better with less weight. Threw two over grips on it (or leather grip if you prefer) and a couple grams at 3 and 9 and it’s so solid.

Yes, I’m tempted to give it a shot when it is updated.

Based on this:

I went for the demo:

It doesn’t feels light or thick at all. It should be interesting.

3rd test of TF40 and second for iso 305. First one with iso didn’t go well. Feel is not plush but more to the firm side with razor code. Let’s see if the liveness of Hyper G will change anything….. as for TF40 i hit some balls and it plays a lot better with Razor code 1.25 than 1.20 I tried before….also that ISO is thick it kinda turns me off :P

Going for the test and report back:

The Tecnifibre ISO 305 is a very nice frame, very good control an accurate oriented frame, enough power , swings easier than the SW value it states in the specs, no jarring feel at all , but I find myself going back to my Yonex VCore Pro 330g green, is more on the tweener side of the spectrum and decided to let it go, is now on the For Sale forum, my lost is somebodies win I think.

I recently hit with the TF40 305 16x19. Solid frame, comfortable and nicely dampened. I found it low powered but it did not result in a great control because I tended to hit a bit harder than usual. A longer demo would be necessary to get a better idea, but I don’t think it’s a stick for me.
Does anybody have some news about the new TFight 300? @DJTaurus maybe?

I have my eye on this one too... I tried rs295 (current version) and loved it. Want to wait and see the updated 300 and 295

My previous info for iso 300 launch and rest of the line would be on January. After my experience with iso 305 i really want to try 300 cause the SW of 305 was very high.

Demoing the RS 315 and TF40 315. Current tfight 305 user. Love the frame. Wondering how I’ll play with a 16x19 frame thats a bit headlight and lower SW.

Anyone know if Tecnifibre still makes any racquets in 4 and 1/8? I have an older 95 in 18x19 T-Fight 305 in 4 1/8 so I know they used to exist. Any idea why they're impossible to find nowadays?

I had a chance to hit with a bunch of frames last night. Two of those were the ISO305 and TF40 315 18M. Both strung with razor code soft at 50lbs. The ISO was meh, I didn't hit it cleanly in the 5 min rally I had with it. Can't really comment on feel. However, the TF40 blew me away.

The dense pattern combined with the extra weight was magical. Immediately my backhand came alive and I could swing with authority and confidence. Played a doubles set with club members and I didn't miss a 1st serve. I was serving at 70% but still placing it well with good pace and surprising spin! So anyways, can't stop thinking about it.

Everytime i go back and test latest tf40 16x19 305 I remember why this model is the best feeling and connected mold of the last 2 years. If i could found a way and extract more free power it would be an instant switch. Any suggestions ? I am thinking to add 2gr of lead at 12 and string it with tour byte at the lows of 20kg’s.

I’ve seen a lot of different people compare the TF40 305 16x19 to the Project One 7. It’s a welcome comparison for me—P17 was one of my favorite-playing racquets I’ve tried but was just too rough, and it sounds like the TF40 is one of the best feeling racquets.

But what about the TF40 specifically is P17-like? It’s not just specs, because lots of racquets have similar specs and don’t get compared to a six-year-old, out of production racquet. Feeling isn’t the same. The “lack of free power” comment about the TF40 makes me think they shouldn’t play similarly.

So whether you agree or not, why am I seeing so many TF40 305 16x19 and Pure Strike 16x19 2nd gen comparisons?

They are clueless. One of the stiffest feeling racquets with raw feel Vs to one of the most plush and connected frames ever created. Maybe they compare it because they are both white and 98 :p

So you think they play pretty differently? Would require a lot of adjustment going from one to the other?

It wouldn't require alot of adjustment playing wise, just depends if you love the feel of the POne7. If you love that stiffer feel and only want that, then you probably would have a hard time adjusting.
Also the power level would be an adjustment, but strings/tension can fix that.

You may want to try the newest Pure Strike VS. Nice frame and possibly a middleground. Not as stiff as regular strikes, but not as plush as the TF40. Power level is a bit lower than the regular strike too

Currently on the TF40 305 2019.... Really starting to wonder about the TFight 305 ISO. Does anybody know if there is a new TFight on the line for 2024?

Does the TFight plays really differently from the TF40?

Strike gen 2 has too much free power. If your arm can handle it every player from 3.0 and up can use it. I wouldn’t suggest tf40 to a player below 4.5…. if you cannot generate power by yourself look elsewhere.

TF40 is due for a new release before the TFight. The TFight ISO was released last fall so it probably won’t have an update until the end of 2024 (based on a 2 yr cycle).

Dig deep here @Tecnifibre Official

I recently acquired a pair of Tfight 325 TP's, the 2013 update to the VO2 Max.
I'm trying to source some grommets.
Do you happen to have the product code for this?
Alternatively, would the dynacore grommets fit this racquet? Seems to be the same mold, the only difference is dynacore introduced the armor cap grommets.

Thank you

I picked up a matching set of Tecnifibre TFight 300 XTC. Overall, the racquets are in great shape, but the head guard is pretty trashed on both of them. I ordered replacements through TW, but the replacements do not have the inner frame side of the EZ Lock grommets?

My first thought is that they were missing. Maybe someone opened the pack and removed them, but I ordered two packs and neither has them.

My second thought is that the inner portion is harder and shouldn't be damaged like a normal grommet, so the originals are intended to be reused. However, I haven't been able to find any information online about removing the EZ Lock grommets.

It seems like a replacement bumper and grommet set should have everything I need to replace the bumper and grommets. What am I missing? Can you provide any info on how to remove and reinstall the original EZ Lock grommets?

So where are you getting an xtc? Curious.
I want the 305 xtc.

I picked them up second hand. Is this some kind of unicorn frame? I was planning to refurbish, in a sense, with new headguard and grommets before listing them.
Yeah I thought it’s been their best one of the 305 line.
Iso is fine.
The thinner beam. 328 SW. just better feel.

In that case, I'll have to play with it and see how I like it. That said, I still need to figure out how to get the old EZ Lock grommets out so that I can replace the headguard.

Really, the grommets are all in excellent shape. It's just the bumper that is worn extremely thin and needs to be replaced. I figured I'd replace all of the grommets while I was in there. Internet research, as reliable as that is, suggests that the EZ Lock eyelets should have been included with the bumper and grommet set.

I would check TW. They have the 305 xtc grommets on hand.
Maybe the 300 too.

Okay. I very much dislike when someone asks a question, and never updates a thread when they find an answer.

So to restate my issue: I ordered a set of bumpers and grommets for the Tecnifibre TFlight 300 XTC. The bumper and grommet set did not come with the EZ Lock Eyelets. (pictured below)

I contacted TW support and inquired if my pack was missing the eyelets, or if they were never intended to come with them. Internet research, mostly consisting of tennis talk and reddit, suggested conflicting information. Some said that the eyelets were supposed to be included with the B&G set. Others said that the eyelets are not included with the B&G set. Technifibre, to my knowledge, does not sell the eyelets individually.

So I'm thinking "What's the point of selling a B&G kit that doesn't have all the parts that you need?"

The reflection on the bag makes it challenging to see, but you can see how the grommets line up with the EZ Lock eyelets.

Well, I decided to Cowboy on (username checks out) and see what happens. I pulled the original bumper off, and the EZ Lock Eyelets on the frame stayed in place.

I only replaced the bumper, as it was worn through and down to the frame. Otherwise, the grommets look fine. I'm just going to keep the remaining grommets on hand in case the others start to show wear.

In short, if you order a bumper and grommet set, and you don't get the EZ Lock Eyelets, you can still replace the other grommets. Just pry the old ones out (being careful not to damage the frame) and press the new ones in.

Ok - Thank you for the update above. So did you end up finding EZ lock Eyelets? my racquet - Technifibre TFight ISO 300 - needed grommets replacing because strings were breaking at the edge of the racquet, and I think there was a split in the grommett, perhaps at the location of the Eyelet. Researching online, found it difficult to find where to purchase these. I also bought replacement grommets from TW, and they did not have the eyelets...
