Hello everyone!

This is Eric/Nick here with Tecnifibre and we’re here to create a new thread to better engage with the community and answer all of your questions. Below is a brief introduction on the two of us, how we got into tennis, and what we do for Tecnifibre. We look forward to meeting you and helping in any way we can!

Eric:

I am originally from upstate N.Y. and I found my passion for tennis in my freshman year of college. This was the first time I had ever picked up a racquet but I instantly fell in love with the sport and knew I wanted to work within the industry. Throughout school, I had completed two internships at tournaments hosted here in the U.S. The first was at The Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati where I did a mix of preparing the grounds and player security. The other as at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I. which focused more on the management side of things. Both tournaments were wonderful experiences and only further fueled my interest in the sport.

Upon graduating, I reached out to Tecnifibre and was hired in 2014 to spearhead their college sales and customer service efforts. Two years later, I was offered and accepted the position to manage the Western territory which includes AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, NM, OR, UT, WA, and WY. So far, it has been a great opportunity to grow within the Tecnifibre family and to see the other half of country.

I look forward to hearing about your experiences in the sport as well and hope to provide some further insight on our products!

Equipment: T-Fight 305 DC strung with 17g HDX Tour @ 56lbs.

Nick:

I was born and raised in Atlanta and love getting to call it home! I am a huge fan of all Atlanta sports teams, which pretty much always leads to disappointment (just don’t mention the Super Bowl and we’ll be good). I had never picked up a tennis racquet until my junior year of college when I started working for Tecnifibre. I was offered an internship with our National Sales Manager, who I have known since my elementary school days, and I haven’t looked back since! I was brought on full time after graduating college as our Communication Manager and College Sales Manager and have since moved into a new role as our Relationship Manager, while still maintaining all of our Communication efforts here in the US. My role has allowed me to travel quite a lot over the past couple years for both tennis and squash.

Being an “outsider” in the tennis industry, it has been fun learning about both the industry and the sport over the last few years and I fall more in love with it seemingly day by day. I personally have arm/shoulder issues which hinder my game a little, but it also helps give me a good knowledge on our products that are very arm friendly, including NRG. Looking forward to tag teaming this with Eric and hopefully providing answers to all of your questions!

Equipment: T-Fight 300 DC strung with 18g NRG @ 55lbs.

Eric definitely has more technical knowledge than I do so he will handle most of the super technical questions/topics while I can take more general questions, launch dates, new product info, etc. Look forward to talking to all of you and hopefully we can help you be more connected to all things TF!

Welcome and thanks for your time in advance..
Just bought a PS 300...will give it a go..BTW.. Very nice looking frame, both aesthetically and build quality. Thank your boss..
Glad to hear and I think it was a really good update to the previous T-Flash series which added more power and comfort which are always great things when playing with a stiffer frame! I am excited to hear your thoughts when you get and what strings you're using.

Hi, I am your neighbor in Miami. What is the official story on the prior Tfight LTD 315? Was this a pro stock frame released to the public? The codes on the handle seem to indicate so, plus the pictures of the long reach from the mains to be tied off are identical to Verdasco's old painted Tec frames.

Would love more details on that one. One of my favorite frames.

Hello from Germany!

I startet my Tecnifibre carrier some years ago with the T-Feel 295. Some rackets and years later i try to play with the 300 PS. I hope we will be better friends in the future as we are the last weeks.

Nico to have you here.

Thanks,
Markus

Fantastic bags but I preferred old black/red colors. It is not nice to have white bag on clay court...

I also had the leisure to have owned a couple of the 300 PS'. I think the frame design is sexy as heck, and they played very well. But I just have an affinity towards lower RA, boxed beam frames, hence the Tec LTD 16M.

Wow. That's bokehlicious. Thought this was a photography forum for a quick second there. You must be all Tech'd out JohnB.

This is a welcomed forum. I use Technifibre strings [HDX Tour 17]. I would like to know if you guys would consider doing these strings in lime green. Here in Europe strings are often in traditional natural or black, boring. The strings are fantastic just need a little color.

Looking for something to go with your green Prince Textreme? Colors are fun, but that may change the playing characteristics that you have come to like about the string.

You're right, but that green finish is just so cool so I am willing to take a chance. By the way I will be making a switch to the Phantom Pro 100 P or the Phantom Pro 100.

Fantastic bags but I preferred old black/red colors. It is not nice to have white bag on clay court...

New Pro Endurance bags are due later this summer! I have no clue yet on colors, but will hopefully have a better idea in the next month or two.

Until then, pro tip with the white on the Pro Endurance line: a Clorox wipe or something similar makes the bag look brand new! An added step I know, but it does work quite nicely.

@JohnBPittsburgh That's an awesome shot! Love seeing pictures of our equipment out in the wild ;)

A lot new coming in 2018, starting with our new "women's" racquet line in the next couple weeks. As I mentioned before, new Pro Endurance bags later this summer as well as new TFight's. Don't have a lot of info yet but I expect I will soon!

I wish! Those racquets have some of the weirdest/coolest cosmetics ever. I know they had a cult following even though they were before my time. Hard to find those anywhere these days.

That's exciting to know that Tecnifibre is planning to have more impact on the market. Many have wondered why you carry the ATP Official logo, but the brand presence has been minimal outside of your stringing stations at tournaments.

Thanks for participating guys.

Not a racquet specific question but any idea if we might see more Tecnifibre apparel available in the U.S. sometime soon?

I have a couple pieces from Europe but shipping charges are often more than the items themselves. It would be nice if we could at least get some T-shirts and hats. Thanks.

Good question on the clothing. I don't see us bringing clothing into the US in the near future because the market is so saturated over here, but there is always a possibility. Of course, you could always buy Lacoste apparel and support us that way!

I've always found the tecnifibre racquets to have a very rectangular handle, is there a reason for this?

Love the collection but where is the old T-Flash Speedflex?? That was actually my favorite Flash in the series as I truly felt there was some serious merit to the Speedflex technology. Very cool you also had a T-Feel at one point too! Was it mostly black and red with a pretty thick beam? I believe I remember seeing one back in the Miami office.

That is actually a really great question and one where I will have to try and dig up its origin story. I know its been in the lineup for some time now and one of our more popular frames in general, especially those who like a frame with a lot of flex/control. I will be sure to let you know what our racquet team in France has to say!

I believe after the Zeus Speedflex came the first black and yellow Flash which was the one that I fell in love with. Never had a chance to hit with the Zeus but being that they were both Speedflex frames I am sure that one was great too.

Awesome. It is a loved frame here due to it's similarity to the Head Pro Stock PT57A . So many players prefer the softer frames now since we don't have $$$ on the line and play for enjoyment. Sometimes the stiff stuff just feels too soulless. Anyway, look forward to what you find out.

Hey Nick, that sounds great. I just hope that HDX in green or yellow is on the list for consideration. HDX is also my string of choice. I never use polyesters because they can be hard on my arm and I make my living as a professional coach. I am sponsored here in Denmark by the company that represents Technifibre and work very close with them on getting Technifibre products out on the market. Many of my juniors and club players use your products. Your strings are the best. I do not use your frames but regard them as top quality. I am also sponsored by Prince for frames as they are very flexible which is what I need to stay healthy. Many years ago I played college tennis and Eurpean club tennis as well as some satellite events, as they were called then. I had a top ten sectionals ranking at the time. I had a shoulder injury that healed after making the move to flexible frames. This allowed me to continue tournament play

Keep doing what you're doing! I've always enjoyed Tecnifibre rackets and finally switched to one this past summer! I love my 3x 315 LTD 16 Mains, I fully intend to pick up the 2017 version this summer when I start hitting more again!

Really love the Black Code strings too

Also, which of the TFlash 315 was the Fisher Pro 1 copy? I played with the M Pro 1 98 years ago in high school and loved that frame, may be interested in finding an old used one to compare how the Tec holds up.

@Tecnifibre Official Where in the hoop does Tecnifibre recommend placing lead on the 315LTD frame. Going from the low 300s swingweight up to the 330-340 range requires a good amount of lead. If i add it all at the top of the hoop, it'll require less lead but perhaps Tecnifibre has a recommendation for distributing the head for a better overall feel from the frame???

I've customized plenty of racquets but it's usually just a few grams here or there. This is a different beast !

Great to have you here with us @Tecnifibre Official .

Look forward to your contributions and to communicating with you.

I'm the proud owner of the T-Fight 315 Limited (2013) racquets (both the 18M and 16M). Love the racquets and want to thank Tecnifibre for making them, as well as, continuing to support the T-Fight Limited Line with the release of the current iterations. Please continue to support and manufacture racquets with a low RA (which for me is 63 or below).

Considering how well they have been released, it might be a good move to expand the "Limited" versions to the other lines... Any chance of that happening?

Really love them and appreciate you making them available. Thanks again :)

I will echo what many have said, great to have the Tec crew here. The company does great work on and off the courts, let's hope the marketing, customer service and PR side of things can match the good work done.
Great products all round, frames, grips, bags, strings, e.t.c
Just received my t-flash, ready for some modifications and stringing.. can't wait... they look absolutely stunning.

I'm not entirely sure what we're looking at in terms of expanding to more "Limited" racquets, but I do know there will be some new concepts coming from us around this time next year. No details at all yet, but I know it will be something we've never really done before.

Thanks, Nick. Looking forward to it... Will be sampling some of your strings soon, starting with the Black Code 4S 1.25mm in my T-Fight 315 Limited 16M.

Do you know if any of the racquet bags (10-15 racquets) will have two thermally insulated compartments, similar to Babolat?

I would love to have a Tecnifibre bag but most manufacturers except Babolat (and Solinco - not sure about current range) have only one section, which I find funny. Why would you want to only keep half of your racquets climate controlled... Thanks again

Great to hear about the string sampling!

We don't have any bags with thermally insulated pockets, but our Pro Endurance bag line is made with a tarpaulin material that performs the same basic functions as the insulated compartments found in other bags and also adds a level of durability that is hard to beat. We used to include insulated pockets, but after numerous tests we found that since the bag is made fully with tarpaulin the insulation is actually not necessary.

You can find the 15R bag here, we also have a 10R version: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Tecnifibre_Pro_Endurance_ATP_Tennis_Bags/descpageBGTFUSA-TEBW15.html

We offer a full 2-year warranty on the Pro Endurance bag line so if anything at all breaks, even down to the zipper, we will replace it for free.

We will be coming out with new Pro Endurance bags later this fall and I don't know what they will look like cosmetically, but I am fairly positive they will keep the tarpaulin material.
