Something new coming down the line possibly... Interesting...

I got to play with the TF 40 315 tonight. My racquet came in overspec at 343 grams strung with og and dampener. This was perfect for me because I can put a thinner string for better spin/feel. The racquet played near perfect. It felt like a prestige mp with modern forgiveness. The head did feel like a 97 similar to the pro staffs and ultra tour. I need to play more with it to give an official opinion but so far so good.

tecnifibre sales probably going thru the roof thanks to daniil medevil!!!!
While I could believe a slight increase in sales I doubt it's significant - not exactly the crowd favorite, he lost to Nadal in the final so he is still a contender, not the champion, Tecnifibre as a brand isn't really acknowledged nor recognizable worldwide - heck, some can't even spell the name right.

Of course it's just a guess, without sales data one could even try to argue TF trippled theor sales.

looking at google trends, definitely a spike in interest right now, but could just be temporary (until meddy wins more slams)

Looking at those one would wonder what happened late 2014 early 2015 since they had an even higher result...
Also there's a long way betweem searching something on the internet and buying it. Heck, in the last month I visited Tecnifibre's site many times reading up on their new bags and strings even though I am unable to play.

He hasn't won one yet. ;)

Where did you get the new stencil from? Looks great!

Any feedback on ice code? Currently use YPTP, but feels slightly mushy.

Player I string for is sponsored by Tecnifibre. This is his first try with Ice Code previously used Red Code. Will get some feedback from him this week and let you know so I'll come back to you. They are widely available in the UK. If you are interested PM me and we can sort something out to get you a couple!

Certain products are for the masses, certain for the connoisseurs.

November 2014 was when Mohamed El Shorbagy reached world number 1 for the first time. Tecnifibre are very big in squash, both with racquets and strings.

I'm using the T Fight 315 (same model year as your picture), and considering about changing strings, so would really appreciate the feedback! Or about any other string for that matter.

String pattern is very open so needs to be durable.

Will drop you a PM now. Cheers!

Frames arrived today. Unstrung, placard off, grip plastic on they were:

305.5g, 32.2
307.1g, 32.0
304.5g, 31.9

No quite Yonex qc, but definitely not Wilson either ;)

With 1.25 Lyon, leather, og, damp, and 3 grams at noon to bring to my preferred sw, it comes out to 342g, 32.3.

Over 20hrs in with TF40 315 no customization other than supergrap
overgrip. Used HyperG 17g and 16L at 50lbs. My regular frame is the TFight 315 ltd DC with 3 grams at 3 and 9. TF40 has more spring and I find it easier to generate spin. It doesn’t feel as solid on contact but feel is still very, very nice. Backhand slice is simply incredible. Serves get better jump and acceleration off the court. Flat forehands penetrate more but do tend to fly on me vs Ltd. this said I do go big off that side. I played in super windy conditions yesterday and with the TF40 I held my ground even with strong wind in my face, managing to produce balls that accelerated. With the Ltd shots had no sting in these conditions. What would make me keep hitting the Ltd? Rock solid feel, great flex, superb for volleying and feeling I could rallye all day and strike with flatter shots and almost not miss. What is making me switch to TF40? Shots having more impact, better serving, awesome control but a boost in spin and power. Now I’m really curious about the TF40 305 which is getting better reviews than the 315. Maneuverability is important to me, wonder to what extent other aspects of the 305 such as potentially enhanced stability would actually make it worth considering.

I haven't played with TF40 315, but maneuverability of TF40 305 is not a problem, on the contrary, it is great. Better than Wilson Blade 2015/CV/Blade Clash; Prince 93P; Babolat PA 2016; Yonex Duel G 330; and slightly less maneuverable than Wilson PS97CV.

The two racquets have almost the same SW, so maybe try adding a very small amount of Tungsten Tape at 3 & 9 o'clock on the TF40 315 to increase the SW and size of sweet spot (also will increase TW), as I'm sure you know already. Match that with the same amount of weight at 7" above the butt cap to keep the same balance, and you might be set. Or... get the TF40 305 as well, and test them side by side.

Hi mavsman. While the 315 LTD will not be carried forward, the new TF40 Series isn’t a direct replacement for the LTD. It is a very different frame and specs. It is due to be released soon, so hopefully you can get a chance to demo and let me know what you think! Thank you for the inquiry.
There is an obvious hole on the lineup now on the flex end for fast swing players.
Additionally there is no indication that the TF 40 will be available in 16x19 pattern. (Wilson RF has it on similar frame)
Who is making these decissions at Tecnifibre ? Do they play tennis at all?

I've played with the Blade v7 and TF 40 315 if that helps? The TF fixed the two issues I had with the blade which were the clunky balance and spongey feel. The blade has a pronounced flex to it where I lost some connection to the ball. The TF 40 has a more modern feel to it without being too hollow/stiff. The blade has a box beam design. The TF 40 has a box beam throat and a rounded hoop similar to the design on the newer radicals.

I'm right on the brink of joining the hype and making the switch from Dunlop CX 200 Tour to Technifibre TF40 305 (or perhaps 315) but I can't decide what string setup I'd try first. In my Dunlops I've mostly used hybrids (poly+multi, both ways, now playing with Wilson NXT + Yonex Poly Pro in the crosses) but if the TF has more intrinsic power in stock form, I might consider a full bed of poly or poly+poly hybrid. But I want the poly to be somewhat softer with some power as well. Any suggestions? Volkl Cyclone 18 in the mains and Wilson Revolve in the crosses, perhaps?

Isn't that pretty firm and stiff? Or perhaps you could hybrid it with a softer co-poly to make it a bit more arm friendly and playable.
Frame and string tension have far more impact than string type, at least, that is my experience. I played a Pure Strike 2017 (18 x 20) with a full bed of VS gut (black) once - strung at 27 kg - and it played like a board, the same frame strung with Hyper-G 1.15 mm at 22 kg played more comfortable than the full bed of gut.

The TF40 (RA 64) plays much softer than the 3 points RA difference with the PS17 (RA 67) would suggest, the comfort is comparable to my PSLGT (RA 56), I assume the solid build plays an important role in this. Usually I play with pressurized balls but yesterday I had to play a match with Tretorn XL pressureless balls, which usually feel like canonballs, but not so with TF40. I am looking forward to play again and again, and that is also because of the amazing feel I get with this frame.

I play with synthetic gut on a brand new racquet for a couple reasons
-i get a fare shake of what the racquet is because SG is an honest string. What you put in is what you put out
-helps me get an idea on what type of string and tension to use next
-it's minor but helps seat the grommets on a fresh stick

so i think y'all have convinced me to demo tecnifibre racquettes out

but im still confused between trying tf40 and tfight305

how do these 2 racquettes differ? all im hearing is that tf40 is somehow better, but it's not clear what the pros/cons of the two racquettes are

I also wanna know the difference in terms of comfort between these two frames. I’m a young college player but I am coming off shoulder tendinitis and previously played with pure strike 16x19? Does the 329 sw and 3 grams heavier static weight of the xtc 305 compared to 323 sw on the Pure Strike make it feel hefty and tough on the shoulder or is the 6pts higher sw gonna be ok for my shoulder?

I believe that a Tecnifibre construction will help the reduction of shock that could be the main reason of the pain you had or have. I do not have any of that but I notice less fatigue or NO fatigue after many hours of playing, IS really noticeable. I have recommended the same to a young player of a Pure Strike suffering the same.
Having said that, DO NOT use a full bed of Poly anyway... at the most play wit a hybrid SOFT poly and multi filament cross and adjust the DT to make sure that you feel NO pain after 2-3 hours of playing normally. I use hybrids now because I get control AND power.

I would choose a model with the same SW ... or make it that way in case you like the frame better. I tried both DC and XTC 16x19 patterns models and like them both, I am trying an 18 now to see what are the virtues that can be exploited.

Good Luck !!!

Here are my final TF40 (315) specs after a little customization: 355g w/overgrip, 31.0cm balance, 334 Swing weight. Strung at 48lbs w/Tecnifibre HDMX 17. Will find out how it hits today compared to my 2013 Babolat Pure Storm Tour.

Can’t find the T40 305 in a local shop to compare it to the Blade v7. They just have the 305 XTC demo, which was really nice, but I prefer the Blade v7 feel and punch. I suspect the t40 will swing a little too fast for me since I am used to the 18x20 Blade’s SW so I probably will pass for now. Love the specs on this frame, just wish the SW was a little higher, like 330. It’s already rather head heavy so adding lead will make it too even for me personally.

I love how Tec slides in some awesome frames. When I came back to tennis I used the Tfight 320 and then switched to the 315 LTD for a long time. Still have that frame, it’s very cool, but it needed some heavy lead at 12. Sounds like the T40 will be a winner for anyone needing something that swings lighter than the Blade.

Did you also do lead under the grip or did you change butt cap?

What were your thoughts on the 305 XTC? It has a little higher SW than the TF40 305 (329 XTC, close to your desired 330, vs 326 on TF40) and an interesting string pattern at 18x19.

Yeah, its a nice Blade alternative. The trajectory was surprisingly lower and took a little more work to get the net clearance that I like. The feel is nice but after some time with it, it felt a little too firm to me compared to the Blade. The Blade also has more plow to it. So to me it makes more sense to just go with that.

That is beastly. With a little more weight in the head that is close to djoker spec.

I don't know about those who have hit with this racquet... it feels and looks like a hybrid of both Head Prestige and Radical. Only had a chance to hit with it for an hour this morning... very solid racquet.

Ordered a new Tflash CES 255 for my daughter. The stated weight is supposed to be 255 grams unstrung. There is either a mix up in the factory labeling or this racquet is grossly out if spec. Below are specs unstrung and strung. I have a feeling that this racquet is mislabeled and actually the 270 gram model which in I also own because the specs are almost identical to my 270 gram CES. This one is painted with the 255 on the inner hoop and labeled as the 255 model. I've had racquets out of spec, but none that are almost 15 grams over. Perhaps technifibre can look into this to see if some of the 255 models that went out are actually the 270 gram model.

Have I ever seen that kind of tolerance given in the specs, ± 7 grams. How common is it to even denote tolerance in weight like that? And like you said, your measurements are more than 10 grams over the tolerance range given.
I've thought about getting the TF40 305 and I hope it'll be at least 305 grams. I can take a couple of extra grams in such a light racket but not under.

Same. This racquet is for my daughter who is nine years old. Big and strong. I really like the new update to the Tflash line. I own all models except the 285. The update has the perfect amount of control and spin. I still haven't found anything that surpasses the beast, though. You know the beast, yes? <Grin>

My two TF 40 315s just happened to match each other to the gram at 343 grams including og and dampener. They are really more like a 320 unstrung.
