Tecnifibre TF40 vs. Ultra Tour, string spacing

The tf40 is super tight pattern and super low launch. Ultra tour is more moderated in those respects.

Tf40 is better in stability and feel, though.

How is the difference in the string spacing and launch angle between the two? :)
Can't speak for an Ultra Tour, as i got the Ultra Pro v3, they are supposedly the same, but had a couple comments from people who have used both and liked the new one better

String spacing is basically identical, 10mm in middle 8 mains, and 12-13mm on the outer mains

My setup in tighter 18x20 patterns is thin poly and experimenting with super low tensions, like 42/40 tension, and having 0 issues with launch angle and power for both racquets

Ultra Pro when modded correct, is IMO the best feeling retail racquet on market - incl. Gravity, Prestige, TF40, Blade, Princes

As a multiple UT2.0 owner I don't disagree too much, but it needs a lot of weight on both ends and then ends up too polalrized. But I love the layup, thing is solid af.

I haven't played the TF40, tho. I do have a three-pack of Tfight 315 Ltd XTC 18x20. Those and the Ultras are my main gamers, atm. I like the Tfight for singles with the plow for groundies. The Ultra is lighter—even with 6gm lead under a leather grip & 24"/60cm of 1/4"/6mm lead under the bumper—and it volleys better, so I'll use it for doubles or if my arm is just tired of slinging the TF around (361 gm, depending on the strings), while I have the Ultra at 345 gm each, ready to play (OGs, etc).

Thanks for the answers! Wilson Ultra Tour and Dunlop biomimetic 300 Tour are perfectly spaced 18x20 for me. I wanted something more stable in stock form and i have a TC97 18x20, But unfortunately the spacing there is too tight and i strugle somewhat with launch angle and sufficiant spin. So i was wondering about the TF40. :)

I don't know. TF40 is pretty open 18x20, particularly crosses.
According to TW reviews on ultra tour, it has almost same spacing as Blade SW 104.
You should check out a speed pro. Best open 18x20 pattern, imho. The prince tour 100t is also very open but so much that it really should be a 16x20.

I tend to focus more on the main spacings.

I do own 1 speed pro 2019 version.
Yes, it has pretty open 18x20.
Coming from head prestige of 10 years ago,
everything on the market right now is wide open. :-D
