Got my Tecnifibre X cord and it makes a weird grinding sound once it reaches tension and maintains a constant pull. YouTube link below. This is my first time with a constant pull electronic machine and not sure if this is normal? Can anyone confirm or is this something I should claim for warranty? Thanks for the help in advance

Sounds like the motor continuing to make pulls to maintain tension as the string elongates. What type of string is that?
It’s a razor code poly string. Bought new and received only today. Makes the same sound regardless of string, and also regardless of whether I’m pulling on a racquet or just direct from the clamp to the tensioner without a racquet in between. Has been making this sound since I set it up today

Hard to say without hearing it in person tbh. Room seems like it's otherwise very quiet. If you had back ground noise like music or tv going would you even notice it? I doubt it's something that is warranty worthy to them.
It's quite loud, and being a home stringer I string for the peace and quiet, not sure if I can get over it tbh. Having shelled out quite a big chunk of cash I did not expect this but wondering if maybe the Baiardo which I heard is made from the same factories has this issue or perhaps some sort of motor sound as it maintains tension?

Would love to give you an answer but I don't actually notice it. I'm sure it does it, but I'm almost never stringing in a completely quiet room. Shop at home has a mini split for AC/Heat as it's an addition to the house so the unit is fairly loud when it's running. Also have a 6 year old that usually follows me when I go to string so he's bouncing around and watching tv or more recently playing video games since I set him up my old PS4. The only thing I really notice in regards to noise on stringing machines any more is when the beep is on for tension pulls. It's like nails on a chalk board. Otherwise, unless it's making what I consider an abnormal sound, I don't even notice.

I was checking my email and saw the thread response. Ran up and took a video. First pull is PTP 1.25 @50 with just phone mic, second is same with bluetooth mic laying on the case, 3rd is a piece of syngut at 50 with the mic. It makes some noise but again it's hard to quantify by video as opposed to hearing it in person. Yeah sometimes it rattles like that, but most of the time doesn’t matter cause you’re moving onto the next string before you have time to really think about it

The constant pull is completely silent.
Interesting, I’ve contacted Tecnifibre support and waiting to hear back.

i think you are just not used to the "noise" a eCP machine makes pulling/holding tension.
you usually are only pulling tension for a few seconds so you will eventually not notice it.

Man im on the opposite end as everyone else, that thing sounds like a chevy v8 engine rumbling.....cant imagine its supposed to sound like that, my solinco machine is completely quiet when pulling poly....gut and multi you can hear it adjusting a little more but nothing like that

Based on your description, the machine is indeed defective.
The constant pull mechanism is normally completely silent.
Tecnifibre Customer Service will send you a new drive unit as a replacement.
You then have to send your drive unit to Tecnifibre for repair in the same shipping box.
