Tell me about Pro Kennex (and Diablo)

I'm looking to buy a new racquet, and Racquet Finder spit out a few PK racquets as my matches. I'm a 4.0 baseliner, full western grip with lots of topspin, 2-handed backhand, and rely a lot on spin, slice, dropshot, etc.

I'm considering these 3 racquets: Pro Kennex Kinetic Pro 7G Midplus, Pro Kennex Ki15 PSE, or Prince Tour Diablo Midplus.

Generally, I'm looking for a good topspin, good kick serve, decent power, extended racquet.

Do you guys have thoughts on any of these, esp. the Pro Kennex which I've never tried.

THe 7g is the best of the ones you mentioned, IMO, but it does not have as good spin potential or maneuverability as another PRo Kennex that I think you may wanna look at : the Heritage Laver Type SX. The downside of the Laver SX is comfort, and it is also much lighter swinging than the 7g, but with the greater headspeed and lighter swingweight, you'll be able to generate tremndous spin, compared to the somewhat average spin of the 7g....you'll also be able to get to quick "flick" shots and other cheapies if you happen to be out of position with the SX. Your serve will have quite a bit more pop too. But it is a pretty stiff racquet and unless you use some nice soft multi string or gut, you may have some arm twinges, compared to the ultra0comfy 7g. The Diablo MP is comfy and maneuverable too, but lacks weight on its shots and is very low-powered.

what about Prince TT Warrior MP or OS? It's similar to the ones you mentioned though with a higher swing weight. It's much cheaper though.

If you are considering rackets from PK. Have you tried ProKennex Heritage Type C Mid or Midplus?

It is a great racket with traditional feel.

I was going to suggest just what mono did--a Laver Type SX

I can't say much for the Pro Kennex, but the Diablo Midplus isnt' really worth getting unless you're going to add lead to the head; it's rather unstable and lacks punch. It is, however, spin friendly and very manueverable.

the Prince TT Warrior OS is extended length...worth demoing for sure...very versatile stick, and yes, can be found dirt cheap these days...does almost everything well....I used to use one but find that I prefer midplus or below for my 1-handed backhand.

I have three 7g and one of it is ALU main and gut cross. That one produce tons of spin, yet still comfy, thanks to kinetic technology.

ALU @ 53 lbs, can't remember the gut tension.
