Tenderness inside elbow

I've been playing about 3 years. Play 2-2.5 hours twice a week.

I've never had tennis elbow but recently after playing a very hard serving opponent started having tenderness on the inside of my elbow.

Googling, it sounds like tennis elbow pain is on the outside?

So just wondering if there are any recommendations/certain exercises or stretches for having pain after a match on the inside.

It kind of starts at the joint and radiates down the forearm

Thanks

Here's a good series from Essential Tennis. Note that I'm no doc but I don't think you should be doing exercises [or playing tennis] if you're in pain.

You also probably want to check that you're not death-gripping the racquet.

I have the exact same thing and it’s painful as hell. Sounds like it’s golfers elbow though- medial epicondylitis,
A condition that causes pain on the inner side of the elbow.
The cause is excess or repetitive stress, often by forceful wrist and finger motions.

Agree that it is likely golfers elbow. You can google exercises to do. Get a Theraband, they're on Amazon for like $25 bucks. For your level of pain I'd get the green.

That sounds like golfers elbow since it is on the inside. It usually happens from gripping the racket too tight or late hits when facing big servers. You should try some eccentric wrist curls or forearm stretches and maybe take a little break to let it heal up.

Thanks.

That big server had some injuries and I rarely seem him any more, so my tennis elbow has improved.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Should it return, idd eccentric exercises. But only if pain doesn't exceed 3/10. If sharp pain with exercises, stop and let it rest for at least a week.

Also: ice 10-20 min every morning and evening on the tendon to ease inflammation.
And/or heat pack on the inner forearm muscles. This stimulates blood flow which in turn should/might speed up tendon recovery.

If it persists or pain is too intense => doctor
