Tennis Bag as a luggage bag?

I was wondering if anyone has ever used there tennis bag as a luggage bag for a flight somewhere? Is it against any rules or anything? Is it safe or in any form stupid? I have a flight to my Uncle's house and I want to play him a game of tennis and I don't want to bring an oversized luggage bag because I am only staying there for 2 days. I just tried and I got everything to fit everything I need for the 2 days I will be staying at my Uncle's house and was wondering if it's okay to do this? Of tennis related stuff in the bag I have two rackets a three pack of over-grip and a pack of strings (in case I break them, he has his own string machine, so he can string them for me.)

TL;TR: I want to use my tennis bag as a luggage bag on a flight, would that be okay and not against any airline rules?

Search in the travel section. It's been discussed before and some people put very specific info and experiences in the previous threads. You can use your racquet bag as checked luggage, but you might want to keep your sticks with you as carry on.

It's fine. I do it all the time. Just did it 2 weeks ago, as a matter of fact. As long as your bag isn't too big it'll fit in the overhead. You should NOT check your bag. You want to carry it on.
