Tennis Channel Plus

I am thinking of signing up to Tennis Channel Plus. Mostly to watch the smaller WTA tournament matches.
Those who subscribe, are there plenty of those matches of the women on this channel, such as Qatar and Dubai?
Also, are their replay matches, on demand, offered the day after the live match or not until the tournament is over?
Thanks for any info about Tennis Channel Plus.
I dont have cable so not looking at The Tennis Channel.

I know this thread is ancient, but I have bought TCPlus and the quality is garbage. I stream with all the other major services every day and have never had quality issues like this. The FPS is obviously set very low and it seems like all the match are played at 1.25x speed. It basically just skips around. YouTube quality is far better.

Youtube? You mean post match? Or does YouTube offer some type of tennis package?

I've considered getting it for the clay court season, but you can't go month by month, you have to get a subscription for an entire year.

I've also read horrific reviews about it in varioius places. Not just bad reviews ... abysmally bad reviews. And it sounds as if they have not improved.

What horrific reviews have you read? I've experienced some issues with the main channel so have supplemented it with other services besides TC+

I've been reading reviews for TCplus for a couple years in various places, hoping it would improve. Here included. I don't remember exactly where else, but probably started with Google 'Tennis channel Plus reviews" I recently found a number of reviews on Amazon but just looked and couldnt find where I had been reading. I'd love it if it were good, or even could get it for one month at a time. But having to subscribe for an entire year with too many sketchy reviews is too much of a risk IMO.

Since coverage for the FO and the rest of clay court season is hard to find in the US, I subscribed to The Tennis Channel on Sling. For the other majors, I rely on ESPN, and online ESPN3, or whatever it's service is called now. (ESPN+ ?) I really like their coverage at the majors. You have to have a cable provider, but Sling will do. It's been awhile so I don't remember exactly how it works.

Right now to supplement the TC for the recent Madrid and Barcelona tournaments, I subscribed to TennisTV (ATP only coverage) for the month. But they only carry men's matches, and no majors. So I'll cancel them too. For the 1000s, all surfaces, TennisTV is all one would need. They offer both live and replays. But no major coverage. Or WTA.

Unfortunately finding adequate tennis coverage in the US is a patch-work operation. Unless you have Direct TV which requires a 2 year commitment.

I wrote a pretty detailed review of Tennis Channel Plus here. I think that it's the best thing to ever happen for televised tennis.

Yes.

Replays are generally available shortly after the matches conclude, as long as TC has the right to air the matches live.

What I love most about TC Plus is having the ability to choose what live match I see, rather than leaving that up to the network. My second favorite feature is the on-demand line-up.

Wondering if anyone currently has Tennis Channel Plus, would you recommend? Wondering if it's improved at all since 2021. Also are you able to stream multiple devices at once?

I'm in the same boat right now. We are switching to YouTube TV and the only thing missing is Tennis Channel. So I'd love recent feedback too.

Also, what is the billing cycle? I know it's a year sub but if I sign up today do I get the subscription until March 2024?

If you want to watch matches without commentary it is good

If you want tennis channel commentary , you don’t get that 95% of the time

Also , I found it odd they didn’t telecast the IW final but they did every other round

Not seeing the Indian Wells final is a bummer. Huge tourney for me given I'm in California too, same time zone. Was it available On Demand?

The major downside to TC plus is that finals are almost always require subscription to main TC which in turn means cable or satellite

TC2 is free if you have a Samsung TV on their programming. We pay for YT TV, but the best coverage for non-grand slams is Tennis TV.

Is the commentary from world feed ?

In the USA, anyway we need ESPN+ for watching majors. I am finding TC+ to be ok but if you miss on finals of such big tournaments like IW, not sure what the heck that even means.

Does Tennis TV also provide WTA ?

No, Tennis TV is exclusively ATP events.

I also pay for the ESPN+/Disney+/Hulu package deal so I get to watch the slams, too.
Same. So we already have that bundle for ESPN slam coverage but I’d presumably be missing whatever is covered only by Tennis Channel (main channel, not TC+)

Appears we need ESPN+ for slams, Tennis TV for ATP and TC+ for WTA, to ensure we get all of ATP and WTA, including majors. Right now i dont have tennis TV.

Seems right to me. And given I have Hulu/D+/ESPN+ bundle and from Wikipedia it looks like ESPN has coverage of AO, Wimbledon and US Open, the only thing that would be missing if I sign up for TC+ (and drop DirecTV in the process) is the finals for bigger tourneys like Indian Wells and Miami. That's a bummer but TC+ still has On Demand of every final, right? So, for example, I could go watch the Indian Wells final after it's complete later on Sunday afternoon? Anyone know?

The deeper access certainly seems appealing.
It's a sad state though that TC splits the coverage so you need both TC and TC Plus to get everything.
You'd think if you are paying for a higher service everything is included.

Imagine buying a first class ticket and in order to use the bathroom you had to also buy a coach ticket.
Pity tennis isn't more popular in the US, if it was the volume of interest would probably keep everything on one accessible network.

I just watch everything on TC+ (Tennis Channel basic comes with my cable package but I always watch everything on the + side) -- ATP and WTA. Most of the ATP matches don't have commentators which is what the + must be for. Most games are played when I'm working so I can watch the games I want in the replay section, without spoilers. I do have ESPN+ for whatever GS they'll cover this year. I didn't watch much of the AO, it's on the other side of the world from me so I'm 1/2 a day behind matches and couldn't avoid spoilers. I love being able to watch without commentators yet not having to turn off the sound. I still like to hear the sounds of the actual game and the crowd.

Exactly. Well said. There’s no real meaning for the + part either.

I verified that the on-demand shows the finals even at this time. Just live is not there. That is important for me.

Thanks! Any idea how long after the final is done would I be able to watch it on demand on TC+? Is it immediately following final or hours later?

I subscribed to TC Plus a little while ago and can't believe how negative the reviews are in view of how smooth and pleasant my experience has been. I guess my one gripe is that I wish the on-demand matches would have commentary... or that there would be a way to view the main TC coverage after the fact, with commentary. But I have Tennis Channel, too, so it's not that huge a deal.

I am coming up on my one year anniversary of having TC+ and I'm going to renew in a few weeks. I liked it. Some matches had really twitchy and basically unwatchable streams but overall it was good to see replays and they did show a ton more matches than I was expecting.
Regarding commentary, I don't know if you noticed but when they have live matches they now show a Live with Commentary box that shows a highlight match. This is on TC+, I don't have regular TC channel. I never bought regular TC with our YouTubeTV subscription and I've been happy. I do have ESPN+ though so some of the other majors have had great coverage when TC+ doesn't on ESPN+
