Hello,
Ive decided to become a tennis coach, mainly for Kids under 12yo. Even though i do not need a licence to teach in my country, germany i would like to make some certifications , qualifications, courses and so on.
The main german certification takes a lot of time in terme of presence at the courses. I cannot manage it at the moment.

I read about Ptr,Rpt and gptca certifications, does anyone have some experience about that and went to the same path?

Many thanks

Can’t speak for EU, but I just completed the on court portion of the PTR Level 2 training in the US. Overall it was great. Their goal is not to teach you tennis, but teach you how to teach tennis. There’s a prerequisite of level 1 to be able to take Level2.

Level 1 can be done online or in person. I highly recommend taking Level 1 in person as the on court aspects of the training really help vs doing it online. All the mock lessons and planning structure will help you organize your thoughts and flow with your lessons.

Based on what I can see through their website, RTP heavily focuses on the Spanish Tennis method. My observation is that RTP provides a specific regiment in training technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects.

PTR, on the other hand, is a platform to educate you about how you should be a teacher. They don’t focus on methods and they definitely do not put a parameter around technical training.

You can think of it as a school teach. PTR trains you to become a teacher. RTP trains you to teach Russian math.
