"Tennis elbow" wrist pain?

I have a friend who complains about wrist pain near the base of the thumb on the top / side of the wrist. She said that when she got it checked out, they determined that she also has tennis elbow by pressing on the muscle / tendon on the forearm up near the elbow. I'm curious if it's possible for TE to present as wrist pain because it's the opposite end of the same muscle where the inflammation starts? I hadn't heard of that before.

This sounds most likely - de quervain’s can refer pain into the lateral side of your elbow giving you the same type of pain as tennis elbow.
