Tennis Elbow

Would doing the Tyler twist using a Flexbar before playing help as a TE prevention warm up exercise?

I think that just using the Flexbar daily requires some level of discipline and that if you can do it daily at all, then you're ahead of the game.

I have one in my office and one in one of my gyms so I can just do it while reading email or something. I have a browser page with a huge clock on it in one monitor and something else in the other one to do.

I do the green flexbar sometimes before a match (before I leave the house), but only 10-15 reps. My theory is at that point, you are using it as a stretch, not rehab. I will twist, and then count out a slow 1,2,3 as I slowly release the flex.

I think the rollerball massage is the best pre-match prep. I roll the forearm, and the tricep right behind and above the elbow. You can find the sore/tight spots with fingers on off arm/hand ... and work those spots. I continue to be amazed you can have sore spots you don't notice until you poke around.

We are all guessing with TE, but this is working for me post TE.

FYI ... I think using the flexbar for pronation (bowed down) and supination (bowed up, upside down U) is a good exercise for tennis, but I don't use that as a pre-match stretch.
