Whatever people want to happen, Djoker will do everything in his power to make it happen. This is why I think he will win the USO. Nobody has the amount of crazy desire (plus his talent and mental fortitude) to stop him there.
I don't care all that much whether Djokovic wins USO or not, but as a general rule I prefer to see slams won by someone who hasn't won before. The status and particularly a few million dollars would do a lot more good for a first-timer than for players who've already won plenty of hardware and hundreds of millions of dollars. Rooting for the extremely wealthy strikes me as a little bizarre.
I don’t have favorite players in individual sports, especially ones that I play myself. But I do like to see greatness and history. For this reason, I hope Nole wins the USO. If not him, I hope it’s Zverev because he’s the next great one.
I am first and foremost a tennis fan and would like what is best for the sport. Tennis is in dire need of new faces.
Djokovic has already won everything he needed to and is possibly the GOAT now. At this point only his fans and Nadal/Federer haters would want him to keep on winning more and more.
It's quite interesting how "What's best for tennis" and "Novak wins nothing more" are so perfectly aligned, since you have no anti-Novak agenda or bias whatsoever.

Let's keep it really simple so you don't keep squirming and trying to move the goalposts. Let's see if you can give an honest answer to a straightforward question.
Given that tennis fans can cheer for the new generation in a few months at the AO and forever afterwards at every slam, why should they not be cheering for Djokovic to win the Grand Slam next month?
