My roommate and I are driving to Denver later today and will be coming into the city some time tomorrow morning. I'm a high 4.0 low 4.5 and he is rated 4.5 (we live in Northwest Ohio, for reference, I know that not all 4.0's are the same depending on the region of the country). Anyway, what's a good place for us to play? Either renting an indoor court, joining in a mens drop-in, or just playing matches with others around our level? Are there clubs that are open to the public? Or is our best bet going to public parks?

How long are you guys going to be around for? Which part of town are you in and how far are you willing to travel?

We are staying until Friday morning. Have a car so we can drive anywhere really. Staying in an Airbnb in what I can only describe as a hipster location on the south end.

If you are interested in drills/clinics, there are a bunch of drop-in drills throughout the day over at Lifetime Fitness in Centennial. That's probably going to be the closest to you, and IMO they have the best facilities in town. I'm not sure you can get in as a guest though. I'm a member there so if you wanted to hit with me, I could get you guys in.

There's also an indoor green clay facility on the south side - Greenwood Athletic Club. The clay is kind of bad there and I am not entirely sure if you can reserve a court as a guest, but you can give them a call. Drills are open to guests, but it's mostly 3.0/3.5 players and you probably won't have much fun

You can also try the JCC by Cherry Creek, they run a 4.0+ drill on Wednesdays and a 4.5 drill on Thursdays evenings and they are open to non-members. Spots for the drills over here do fill up pretty quickly

If you don't mind playing outdoors in a public park, my favorite courts in the south side are in the Holly Tennis Center. Normally you'd have to pay to reserve a court there but the front desk is closed for the season.

And of course the big public facility is Gates, they always run a lot of stuff there. Courts (all outdoors) are $6/hour I think

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll get in touch about hitting with you if that's something you'd like.

I can hit this evening or tomorrow evening from 6 to 9p

Let me know and I'll reserve a court
Hey, sorry, we only had time earlier today, so we hit indoors at Greenwood. They clay played pretty well, but maybe I’m just used to poor courts in Ohio.
