I'm actually excited for this decade tbh you've got Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas, FAA, Sinner, Alcaraz, Shapovalov, add in Thiem and yes, even you Berrettini, future clashes between all these guys ain't looking bad at all

and finally you got potential threat of Kyrgios upsetting some top players in the first week, that's a legit line-up of an era.

I agree. The big 3 could all retire tomorrow and I woudn't care. They've more than had their time in the sun.

Big 2 will be around a few more years, hopefully some new faces by then. Get rid of let rule and speed up the grass to freshen things up too.

Every single one of these is utterly forgettable let alone total nutcases and arrogant morons like Kyrgios.

I long for the days of players with actual attractive games and personalities like Cilic, Delpo etc. This new newx-gen isn't even close to Andy let alone Big 3.

bwahahahaha. thats a good joke. tennis is in good hands, yeah right. other than alcaraz, none of these guys are great shotmakers or have star potential, as in mainstream box office appeal. and yes, i'm including sinner, who's just a modern day berdych. only a small niche of tennis fans who are members of TTW like them. this is the worst generation of tennis players since the open era began. all the skilled, great athletes are going into soccer or basketball.

Have been watching Fed since 2000 and dominance of Big Three since 2005.
Have seen all the wonderful matches. They were great.
But the Sinner/Alcaraz/Med/Djker matches are just as exciting and will only get better.

Well, FAA, Tsitsi, Shapo, Berr and Thiem got badly derailed since. Zed is still hanging on, playing better this year than last year for sure.
Currently the Next Gen is only hanging by a thread with Medveddv still doing well and the Young Gen have almost took over completely.

Alcaraz and Sinner have brought back some excitement to the sport after it died between 2019-2023… we finally have some younger potential ATGs who have a decent level of consistency. Medvedev, Zverev, Ruud etc are ok as top 10ers too. Just a shame it took this long, we needed this around 17/18.

Thank you! I've been saying this for months.

Sinner is Berdych 2.0.

I understand that some people are living in the Bizarro World, right now.

But in reality...Sinner, Alcaraz, Medvedev, and Djokovic is sort of like the mid 2000s without Nadal and Federer.

Alcaraz is Hewitt, Medvedev is Roddick, and Sinner is Berdych.

Having watched 6”7 giants like Zverev, Medvedev shovel FHs back into play for years and folding at the first sign of pressure, I’ll take another Berdych level player over that. Heck, we had Ruud and tsitipas reaching multiple slam finals, hoping those dark days are over.

Tennis needs to do better.

There's only so many times that I can re-watch the 1995 US Open final.

How is tennis great when you lose the guy who brought the wow factor to the game of tennis and then his 2 biggest rivals? Alcaraz is tennis only hope really. And to me, he is more like a Nadal that plays with Federer's offensive mindset.

Are there really still people who exist in 2024 who consider Sinner a Berdych 2.0? How embarrassing for you. Even considering Sinner a Berdych 2.0 before he won the Australian Open would be completely wrong ?

After the big 3 retire, tennis will be in great hands and there will be so much more variety to our game, which is good.

Yeah, it's a pretty funny nickname. Sometimes I call him Skipper, instead of Sinner. But Jannik seems like a nice enough guy, so I don't like to annoy his fans too much.
