After many unsatisfied people im changing my thread to
TENNIS NEEDS PUTIN.
and hopping it will be less controversial and gets more likes:).

New ATP
Executive Chairman & President Cris Kermode said that players until top 100 should be losing money and that is intentional.
Btw that is a nice promise for younger players o_O.
This is what has been done for lower lvl of tennis futures and challengers in last 40 years:
same price money which means 10x less then now, increased expences, largely increased number of tournaments.
Except money these things could be fixed in 5 sec if they wanted to.Less weeks better organisation.
So in short 20x biggers expences then before. Before 40 years top 200 players were stars compared to now.

And im not sure how letting things go worse and making things worse on purpose in the sport will make more people watch it.
Same time soccer made increases on all lvls by 40x.
So give us Blatter give them cris kermode or what ever piece of sh.... they got now.
I wander what would happen if soccers FIFA president or any other major sport Executive said something similar.

Same time Sepp Blatter ex president of soccer federation has worked wonders for soccer in last 20 years and more. Even tho his under investigation for corruption he has highest respect from me.
Do you belive enough was done for tennis as a sport,is the sport going in the good direction and most important of all has tennis done enough for the fans?
Or at least are there some changes that were done that you like in last 20 years?

Not familiar with Cris Kermode, but why would he say that? If anything, big purses need to be distributed to the lower ranks more.

Yes, tennis needs to award one of the slams to a nation swimming in wealth so they can use slave labor to build facilities to hold the tournament and enrich themselves at the expense of a large percentage of those workers' lives.

Yup Sepp Blatter made people slaves and hungry because soccer tickets are so expensive!Until he became president in 1998 there were no slaves or poverty in the world.
Silly me i thought he had something to do with making soccer better sport.Didnt know hes job was also to save the world.
Same time atp tennis chairmen takes from the players and gives to the people and is saving the world from slavery.Makes players proud that they have such a good president and are glad to give everything they earn plus all of their parents money to.
And next year itf made 49 weeks of futures in egypt and 48 in tunis making it best bang for the buck literally hehe.Even if its bit dangerous there its ok.
They will be only tourist in the country so they realy count on their money. And that is more important then players safety anyday.Even if something happens to player
just remember any promotion is good promotion for the sport .Even if player apears on a vid on his knees in a orange suit its ok thats for the greater good of tennis and the world:D

^^^Seek help. Read a little more about how Blatter & Co. lined their pockets with bribes to award Qatar the World Cup and stand by as hundreds of workers have died building stadia in unsafe conditions and are forced to live in uninhabitable shanties and squalor. Better still, go take one of those jobs so we don't have to read your bovine excrement of a thread.

yeah thats Blatts problem, not from Qatar or saudi arabia for sure they are just cool vacation places.
Im sure those workers from philipines just came to build this stadion and are not the same workers who build the whole country from scratch.;)
They are not same ones who build tennis stadions for sure.:)
So keep in mind when going to this places dont visit soccer stadium slave workers made it, but everything else is made from european finest italian manufacturers and payed in gold so feel free to visit.:p

Is he in the Top 100?
No?

Then what's he doing making the kind of money he probably is?
Other than sitting behind a desk of course.

Have to agree that it's reptillian for so few players to be able to make a proper living off it given how much needs to be dedicated to make a go of it. Although Sepp Blatter is a reptile also. Mammals are the ones with the solution.

should really include an article

"ATP plans large-scale review of circuit"

http://www.tennis.com/pro-game/2014/10/atp-plans-large-scale-review-circuit/53023/#.VndhZ_krLrc

Well i had to include the comments then, and by the time people read it they will get confused like sheep you know,
So basicaly i skip the usuall crap his selling and a went straight to real promises he realy did make like:
Clearly for players, it can't be costing them money to play the challengers," Kermode explained. "You play your challengers, then you go on to the world tour. It's meant to be a feeding mechanism, not a place where someone can earn a living."
That one sentance makes the whole "ATP plans large-scale review of circuit"
useless:(
in other words Cris Kermode said that players until top 100 should be losing money and that is intentional.

So i just figure no point posting usual lies for public or small cometic changes.

Damn it why cant tennis get any decent reptillians like soccer.
Is Putin reptillian to?
He just nominated Sepp for nobel peace prize,
It gets even more complicated.....

What i meant to say is there are no reptillians just very well conected bad people.
Some are not conected and some are not that bad.
I agree with you on everything else.:)

Reptiles are as reptiles does. Sepp Blatter isn't a decent reptile, he's not as bad as the sort of war-mongering politicians or own peope killing/propaghandizing politicians as there are in many countries of the world. For one thing he never had that sort of power. But football is obviously pretty heavily corrupt as are most sports. Best off without reptiles matey

Players outside of the top 100 can start making more money when the events they take part in actually make money, at the moment pretty much only the top 20 bankroll the whole ATP and that's because the general public only pay to see them and more specially the biggest names. If you pay players to stick around indefinitely in Challengers that no one pays to watch then that's just draining money out the system. Young players get the on the Challenger circuit, win matches if they're good enough and get on the ATP tour where they make the real money. It's harsh but why would you subsidize players to continually play in tourements that the general public never watch?

Also I hope you realise you're comparing a team sport to an individual sport and take into account that you can't compare one whole football team to one tennis player. It's a bit assumptive to suggest football teams outside of the "top 100" make money either. According to the FIFA rankings the 101th team in the world at this moment is Rwanda with others like Liberia and Korea DPR close behind, I wonder how each individual player for those teams make.

As far as I can calculate through research, Rwanda's captain Haruna Niyonzima plays in the Tanzanian football league (and is apparently the most popular player there) for around $2,500 a month.

Compare this to ranked 101 Filip Krajinović, he made $37,000 losing the 2nd round of the US Open.

The point is you want to make it desirable to play tennis, or make a go of it. You can still play the top players well and make it viable for players lower ranked to be playing, you don't need to be so ruthless. If it's easier to make a living playing tennis, more people will, they'll be able to spend more on coaches and whatever, resulting in improvements to their own play resulting in better tennis that more people might be interested in watching.

The international football rankings is a bad comparison as club football trumps international football quite significantly. I can bet you that the players of the 100th best club team make very comfortable living. They are probably the sort of teams who play in the second tiers in some of the leading nations. Even going down several hundred they'll still be comfortably making money and be above the amateur leagues where they just play part time.

Hi my friend i think you are the one comparing fruits.Tennis is not golf its played by 75 million people around the world.
Most tennis players come from medium to medium poore homes, trying very hard to make it.Very few are rich.
To you coming from lower cast in india is difficult to understand but almot anyone can play tennis in most countrys in the world,it is not forbidden.
Tennis ranking is nothing like caste system which is given by birth and there is nothing you can do abouth it ,
in tennis you need to earn atp ranking and its always changing.
So why not help this players with better conditions.Because without lower ranked players atp wouldnt exist.
I dont think you can understand this concept very well in india. You think if you are top 200 you are lower cast and should be punished.

Ok challengers dont make money i get it but why you keep saying like a parrot that players want to make more money. There are many sports that no one watches and they all break even.It costs nothing to make nearly all tennis players break even.
Is it realy so difficult to understand that players top 200 dont win money but lose it.
Its abouth letting the players break even or at least to be close to it and lose less money.
How do you think tennis would look with only 20 players ,no one would care less for federer.
Why not let people compete it costs nothing but good will and decent organisation of tournaments.
If you make price money smaller and smaller in last 40 years by leaving the price money the same how it is going to attract people to watch.
Top 100 guy playes with top 200 for minus 200 dollars price money? who wants to watch that.
And it going worst by the year expences are higher and higher with more weeks to play.
On the future lvl is even worse price money same as 40 years ago and 8x more tournaments.
Nothing positive was done for players in last 25 years by atp, itf
So every decision atp and itf made was not in interest in players but against them.
And for you to say that is ok that is the way sports should improve by going worse and worse even in things that cost nothibg is beyond ignorant.
Btw Filip Krajinović made 600k price money in his life.
thats 400k in 7 years .His expences are 40k at least per year plus coach .most players like him are not breaking even.
Dont be so quick to judge. But watch his practis with federer.

You are seriously stupid, bringing cast system and what not, children from poor countries can't play tennis. Very simple why poor countries from Africa and asia have players in athletics, football hockey, badminton and even in cricket which is not globalise ,not saying their team are world beater or great teams but in tennis they don't even have decent players.
I will give you example of a cricket player Kaif , his father used to sell eggs on bicycle or Duminy another player from poor slum area. There are so many success and dream stories in athletics, cricket, football or other sports, players coming literary from slum families.
In tennis you can find medium family childs but can you find real poor family players making big , I am not talking about 1or 2 but many.
Tennis is type of art which needs coaching from young age, you may be residing in village or other small area ,in this case you have send a small child to other big city for expensive coaching as good tennis academy are in big and expansive cities.
I am not even talking about the living and education cost in other city that from very small age.
There is a reason why poor countries end up producing decent player if not world beaters from other sports but not from tennis

Ask yourself this:
Then why do you have such animosity for people trying very hard, practising like crazy not even to break even.
Dont they deserve that at least?

If tennis was player by rich players then no one would care abouth price money anywyay.
Marin Cilic made first court in the town in his backyard. And Ivan Dodig comes from same street
Both are gran slam winners. Both come from poor background.Same as Tipsarevic,Ivanisevic,Seles,Troicki,

Another thing is you can make big in another sport by learning their skills after 12+ age. Example is Zaheer khan , he was in village till 16 and was enrolled for big academy after 16+ and still manage to have a international debut in age of 20. Now find me similar example in tennis where player started getting coaching after 16+ and manage to turn pro in 20

Find me a similar sport were you lose more money the better you get.
And people call that fair
And your point is exactly what?
the tougher and more expencive the sport is less money one should make?
And easyer it is more money is fair.

I don't have anything against anyone but tennis will never going to touch the popularity of football and reason is very simple a person get invested more in those sports that they can play and poor kids can play football , they even play football from cosco ball, no equipments and special type of ground is needed.
Only way to make tennis popular as football is to open tennis academy free of cost in every remote areas, which I thing is not possible

I am all for making players live better, blatter didn't make it, football was on rise when he joined. He was no Borg , money always come from commercial activities and commercial activity comes from popularity.
How many atp 250 are well attended or wta matches. Sports channels don't even brodcast doubles matches.
I think you can make players good income by reducing winner payments, are distributing in lower ranked players.

Dont know about Platini prety sure he didnt do anything for the sport .
But Blatter made things happen for soccer or at least he was president same time soccer expanded like crazy.
Platini just made things worse

Infact i bet most will see what you tell them to see.
If comentary say its so bad quality they will think its so bad.
Seen it to many times
Most people think Serena would beat any players from 5 plus in the world.
On this forum these are extreame fans not regular 99% and even here some think womens tennis is faster or very close.
I can put examples of this all day long people dont have a clue what they are watching if you dont tell them they will not know.

I don't think so.

Anyone with functioning brain can discern between the level the men and the women are displaying and you will be hard pressed to find a lot of random people visiting tennis tournaments (maybe apart from the Majors but even there it is rare) or buying tennis related products.

Of course, we have the veiwership, but that is even more complicated.

au contraire
99% of tennis fans are randome people. 61 from 61 atp events make no money from viewers live.
.they are all sponsored by the banks thats why they can exist not people paying to watch, its not even 10% of income.
I know exactly coz there are 2 atp in my country. If you find 200 people in first rounds that payed entrance 3 ,4 euro its good day.
People watch masters and slams on tv and randome people cant tell anything.
People thought Bode miller will qualify for us open, they thought red foo will play pro tennis and so on

To see the difference betwen top challenger players and medium atp player is impossible even for pros
and one makes millions other loses thousands by playing.

Those are people that cannot tell you the difference between football and tennis (i.e. they are not tennis fans).

No need to worry about them or include them in any conversation about tennis.

But they make 99,9% of paying tennis fans
I seen so many players play awsome at future challenger lvl its insane.
No one ever nothice after 6 months people watch them on slams and are like they are good lol,but they were playing exact same tennis before 6 months.
I was betting before and i know these stuff there are top 100 players on every challenger week.
In 90% cases They never win even tho they are proffesionals and playing against amateurs.
So quality in tennis is very difficult to understand even by pros sometimes.

They don't make 99,9% of the paying tennis fans, because they are not tennis fans at all.

Anyway, your arguments are all over the place.

What I said about Blatter is true. The greater publicity didn't bring anything positive to the game, or to be more precise, the tools with which they tried to achieve greater publicity didn't bring anything positive for the sport itself.

The governing bodies in tennis decided that it is a good idea to cater to the needs of people who have nothing to do with tennis and look where we are now.

No lol yours are.
greater publicity is what its all about in everything.
Tennis went easy way out and made greater publicity only for 2,3 players giving them millions
In tennis people only watch to se 2,3 players because of money they make not quality.
And silly fans think if one makes 90 million and another makes 1 million is quality difference.

Before in soccer poor people watched poor players
Now in soccer poor people watch millionares
Sepp Blatter has something to do with that also
