I'm sure there were dozens of tennis players who lost their lives that day, here are just a few:

Charles Kasper, FDNY Battalion Chief age 54. An accomplished player, he was off duty the day of the attacks but went to help out and was last seen directing operations at the North Tower.

Richard Lynch, Bond Trader, age 30 who worked at the World Trade Center. Lynch was a highly ranked junior player who trained at Port Washington academy who later played college tennis at The University of South Carolina.

Lindsay Stapleton Moorehouse, age 23, research analyst who worked at the World Trade Center. She played at Williams College and was a DIII All American her junior year.

Brad Hoorne, age 22, worked in the North Tower of the World Trade Center. A graduate of Yale, he played four years of high school tennis in Michigan at Gull Lake.

Andrew Kim, age 26 worked for a mutual fund firm on the 93rd floor of the World Trade Center. Kim was a avid high school player at Leonia High School in New Jersey and graduated from Columbia.

Dianne Snyder, age 41, she was a flight attendant on American Airlines Flight 11, the first plane to hit the World Trade Center. Dianne was an avid player who played at the Westport Middle School courts.
