Tennis Shoe Dilemma

Looking for as many opinions as possible on this one...I've been using pretty much whichever tennis shoes I wanted because I wore them out so fast playing at the college level. Now that I'm playing less and teaching more, I'm still wearing my shoes a lot but I'm finding that the upper support wanes over the course of 8 weeks or so and my foot starts to spill over the sides on hard cuts and slides. This, so far, has happened with Nike Air Max Cages and Asics Gel Solution Speeds (the first model). The speeds wore out soon after this started to happen, so I had no qualms throwing them in the trash. However, the cages are durable enough that the outsoles have another 3-4 weeks of life in them before I can send them in for a warranty. I'm looking for a shoe that will not do this, maybe barricade 2015s because of the chassis that wraps around all the way to the lateral midfoot? I would like to keep expenses down, though. Would the Lotto Raptor IV be a good option? It has a nice price point on some of the older colorways and a durability guarantee. Are there any shoes that the TW playtesters prefer in this aspect?

colan5934,

Both the Barricade and Raptor IV are great choices and ones I would have picked for you! I would also suggest the Gel Resolutions as their upper is more durable than the Speeds.

Thanks,

Brittany, TW
