Tennis shoe recommendations for wide / pronating feet?

Hi there,

Looking for some suggestions for tennis shoes for my feet. I have pretty wide feet (usually buy 2e runners) and also very flat with no arch (pronation). So looking for something that has decent arch support.

Also have a history of ankle injuries! Support support support!

I currently wear GR8's but my feet are rolling in a bit too much which concerns me a bit so I've been looking and trying around but haven't really found something solid yet.

I bought a pair of NB 996 v4 (2e) but once again, still rolling in a bit too much so going to exchange them for something else.

Pairs I was on the fence about were K-Swiss Ultrashot 3 (stability was good, seemed to have a wide in-step, but they were just a bit tight not having a 2e size - I could size up and solve that issue though)

Other NB's I tried didnt fit well. Tried other K-Swiss shoes but nothing as nice fitting as the Ultrashots.

I'm thinking I'll try on a pair of barricades tomorrow when I go in. Does anyone have any good suggestions for wide / pronating feet and has solid arch support? Don't really want to go in and try on every shoe in the store haha.

Thanks!

The Sole Court Boosts are roomier than the Barricades. Might be worth trying those out too if the Barricades aren’t quite roomy enough. The Barricades do tend to get a bit looser over time though.
Thanks for feedback! Don’t think I can get SoleCourt Boosts anywhere here in Australia or anywhere to try them on :(

Use a custom orthotic and ankle supports, Murray opts for (Aircast A60 Ankle Brace) in the roomiest shoes you can find in your region.Problem solved for ever and you'll never be shoe dependable ever again.

Great advice! I really loved the stability of the barricades when I tried them on today, so I exchanged for them. I reckon I could definitely fit ankle braces underneath them still too!

Not quite true because you need to find a shoe that fits the orthotic. Not all shoes will fit one. Plus I still need toe room. And a brace will stretch out the shoe and heavily increase wear and tear.

You can easily go up half a size up and fix all these problems. Orthotics fit almost all tennis shoes. The op is trying to find a permanent solution and if someone goes that way with only the shoes he'll be greatly disappointed. This years excellent model becomes easily next years worst due to stupid tennis shoes manufacturers ideas!

Yes I agree with that
