Tennis Shoes for Flat Feet

My 10 year old son has flat feet and hits the ground with his feet straight down noisily. Any insults that I have had for him are uncomfortable and as he plays they move too much. He hates all of them too. I searched for tennis shoes that'd accommodate flatfooted young players but have had no success. Would there be any tennis shoes for a 10 year old boy sized 39-40 (I guess that's EU measure)?

Try something with cushioning under heel like yonex maybe. I have platfus 2 and wide and so far like the feel they give me.

I have flat feet and love the New Balance 996v3 shoes I have. This is the third pair of them I've had, and I had two pairs of the 996v2 before them. Not sure if he'll like them or not, but I do! I also have to get them in a wide size.

We've been dealing with yonex a lot as Zheng Jie's got plenty of those goodies. I am having troubles getting any info on the "platfus 2" for some reason.

I have flat feet, and my feet feel the flat footed pounding I put on my feet while playing tennis. I’d be in so much pain afterwards that I had considered playing less tennis. The problem was solved when I began wearing the Asics Gel Resolution shoes. They are super supportive, shock absorbent and great for flat feet.

I just playtested Babolat SFX3, and it is one of the most comfortable tennis shoes I have ever worn. It felt great on my flat feet. Also, there is Diadora shoes that just finished its playtesting, and the reviews seem to show that the shoes were great for the flat footed players.

Barricade? Are you kidding? It's probably the worst shoes for the flat (and wide) feet. NB or KSwiss are much better.

Nope, I love it. I have flat and narrow feet because I am Asian. KSwiss is bad for my feet, that's how I got PF. New Balance and Barricade never give me any single problem.

The Filas I bought had pieces you put under the insole for your arch, so if you don't put the pieces in the insoles are reasonably flat.

I used to have the Barricade 5s, which were decent for flatter feet, but then when they switched to the 6s, they went narrower and raised the arch, so I switched. Not sure how anything after the 6s have been though.

I've got a pair of old barricades and decided to try Barricade 2017, but they were narrow, raised in the arch (very uncomfortable) and that plastic thing on the side constantly gave me horrible blisters. Even Lotto's Viper Ultra III, another horrible shoes, felt better.

Quite honestly and due to the high arch, Barricades are the only shoe I possibly can wear without my custom orthotics. Otherwise I use said custom orthotics for everything else, tennis or not. But of you're not used to have anything supporting your (missing) arch, it will indeed feel very foreign.

Try Adidas low-cut basketball shoes. Plenty of choices, easy to find, good support on the instep. Try the Anta KT3 shoe too

I have flat feet. So much so that it led to a total Achilles rupture 10 years ago. I’ve recovered since and the combo I found that feels very stable to me is Asics Gel Res with spenco total support insoles.

If your son has flat feet I would suggest getting custom orthotics. Then he could wear any shoes he likes as long as the insoles aw removable.

However I have found the Head Revolt Pro tonhave excellent cushioning.

Curious if anyone that has flat feet also has problems with the instep bulging in shoes. Especially lightweight shoes

I've found the Adidas Ubersonic and the Defiant Bounce to run pretty flat. Flat enough where my medium arches don't feel like they're getting enough support the first few hits at least.
