Tennis wall in London?

#1
Does anyone know where there is a tennis wall in London?

I am getting into shape, and would absolutely love to practice against a wall. The only problem is they don't really have many of them anywhere that I know of. If someone could give me some advice where some are, that would really be appreciated.

West London would be ideal. But I am assuming I will just have to go where ever it is. I work in Islington, a lot of East London is pretty close by to me as well. So I am open to a few places. But definitely West London, Hammersmith, Chiswick or Shepherds Bush region would be perfect. But I am willing to travel a little to get there. Just not to the greater London areas, or anything too far out. South London is kinda a pain to get to, as well, but would consider it.

Other than the indoor courts in Westway, which you have to pay quite a bit for, never really seen a hitting wall in the outdoor courts.

Not sure about West London but if you work in Islington, give Rosemary Gardens a go - couple of courts, recently resurfaced, a wall and floodlights. Tends to be mobbed in summer though. Doesn’t Islington tennis centre have a wall on one of their outdoor courts? Bit pricey though.

Oh wow, nice call on Rosemary Gardens. Actually a tennis wall in an outdoors court in London. Incredible. Thanks. Although, yeah I imagine using it during the summer might be difficult, after work. Would be great if I could use it though. Thanks for that.

Court 6 outdoors at the Lee Valley Hockey & Tennis Club has a hitting wall - in Stratford, not far from Islington. Double check when you call to book, think it's 6 but could be 4!

I’m in west London now and looking to hit. I’ve been here since Monday and I know nobody and don’t know any of the clubs. I just know Hyde and holland parks there doesn’t seem anyone there to hit with.

Hi @vsbabolat, I’m away at the moment and am a country mile below your playing standard otherwise I’d offer you a game. Have you tried the Westway drop in sessions - don’t think you need to be a member but not sure what the quality will be like (the West London contingent will know better than me):

Alternatively, it might be worth signing up to Londontennis (https://www.londontennis.co.uk/) as the forums there seem to be frequented by the best / keenest players....
