Anyone in? I’m definitely interested to hear about this new frame!!
So far, it’s been:

Just read the initial post and curious as to what will the stick come pre strung with?
Knowing Head I'm guessing Lynx, Lynx Tour, or this new Lynx Touch (and the set it comes with is for fine-tuning tension or if you break strings).
I would hope Lynx Tour, since it's a pretty solid poly. Who knows, though.

Spoiler alert

Just got my racquet in the mail right now. Prestrung with head lynx tour 1.25 at 53 lbs (name of string and tension hand written on grip). Grip is also 1/4 and not 3/8 which works better for me personally. Also contains a set of head lynx touch (im assuming 1.25) and a teal overgrip in very encouraging promotional box. Going to weigh it and hit with it tonight and will review after putting in sufficient time with it. Thank you to TW and Head for allowing me to be part of this play test. Will try to post pics later.

For those wondering I posted the specs of both the MP and Pro in another thread. I’ve had both for 2 months now.

Again, how about returning to production of longbody versions of these beautiful new racquets for us amateurs instead of just the Head pros; seems to be currently economically viable for Yonex and Babs to retail longbody options - personally it would allow me to consider Head racquets, I’m sure I’m not the only one?

Or if you want it extended so badly, go have it extended.

Obviously, the accountants at Head have not deemed it viable to offer them. I don't see that changing.

Babolat offers 2 plus length frames. Yonex offers the most by far. But that hardly shows a strong enough demand in the market for them to be a regular offering.

It’s interesting because I recently had to customize one of the extended Yonex Frames. For a 27.5 in racquet it had no swing weight and was too light stock. I perfected the racquet at what I felt was still a low static and swing weight but the racquet player significantly better than stock. I’ve never played with an extended stock Head racquet but the best extended racquets still have to be the first and second generation Pro Staffs and what a coincidence as it’s probably the most used one on tour.

there’s just really no market in the public demographic because it’s not something teaching pros would push. For competitive players yes but the genera public can’t handle the extra SW and length.

HPS 6.1 Stretch is right up there w/ the Pure Control + Swirly as the best 27.5” frame IMO. Of course, there’s no way I could swing them today…my shoulder would die in the warmup…

But I agree with @jmacdaununder2…I’d like to see an extended Head option in a few of the lines…like Gravity and Extreme. It’s the main reason I’ve not used Head in over 20 years.

Did you ever play with the i.Prestige MP XL or FXP Prestige MP XL?

If you're playing outdoors on dampish clay like surfaces - fluffy balls anyone - in cool weather then longbody racquets make a big difference.

What is going on TW? Only one person has chimed in as having been notified. You haven’t updated the due date for reviews. Was everyone notified? You usually come on here and let us know.

Good question. Maybe they haven’t gotten everyone notified (I keep holding out hope, lol).

I thought two of us had?

Still, would have expected more people to be notified and chimed in here by now.

We have sent out an email to those selected to participate in the head Prototype and received confirmation. For those that have received the email, congrats and we received all your confirmation emails! Your racquets have shipped and should be arriving shortly.

For those that were not selected, thank you so much for applying. With this Head prototype racquet playtest, it was highly popular and we received 75+ possibly participants in under 24 hours with just a few racquets to give out! We will keep offering these as much as possible throughout the year. We always like to leave these tips here:

Apply for string playtests first and leave detailed, thorough reviews. We generally have a larger amount of strings to send out for playtests and your chances are much higher of being selected. Additionally, it helps if you have a good history on the message board and are participating in a positive way especially in the shoe, string and racquet sections (bonus points if it is in threads related to the specific playtest).

Lastly, we like to make sure to spread the wealth. We try to give members a chance who were not selected to be on one of the last couple major playtests (racquet/shoe). If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at discussadmin@tennis-warehouse.com and we would be happy to help.

Thanks,
TW Staff

Hit with the proto this am. Only serves and self feed as ball machine battery died. Initial specs strung with dampener and overgrip 11.1oz and about 4 pts HL. First impression ample power and muted but solid feel. Will await more live play and testing with and without mods and different strings eventually.

I've read and re-read but cannot tell... is playtest MP and Pro, or MP only?
(interest in both)
Ah well no matter nevertheless look fwd to the reviews here!

Particularly would like to hear about... swingweight, head-heavy or not?
Comfort - ok - have they got this... or not.
Usage on the 1HBH, does this frame get around like you expect... or not.
Serve - bombs or blimps... or just not.

Only 315 gram dampener and overgrip..oh my... another Gravity MP spec...I hope it has more umph..

Well I think it feels like it has more power than the gravity I demoed a few months ago. A bit soon to tell but this seems like a power stick with nice feel.
