Anyone looking to play 3.5 mens dubs tomorrow 9pm? It's $15 for 1.5 hours. I should have one slot open. It's a practice league.

I have yet to try FILA shoes. My sources tell me the Alfas are a very comfortable, supportive, and durable shoe that is on par with all the other high end shoes.

I do however some some FILA clothing. And it is very nice indeed. And for a bit cheaper than the other brands I would probably purchase more when my current stock of clothing runs out in 10 years.

FILA is on par with nike in the clothing department. So I wouldnt call it a downgrade at all.

I am sure their products are more quality than/ or on par with Nike products, but to lose sponsorship with probably the best selling tennis apparel/shoe company for one of the lesser selling ones...

I worked out my legs yesterday. I need to learn to listen to my body. Good pain means very very sore the next day. Im walking a bit like Frankenstien.

I do want to get out and hit. I'm going to the club. Would be nice to play something competitive tonight. May also give me a chance to get these folks to a Tuesday night adult tennis clinic I'm trying to put together.

So give me a ring if you don't find anything.

^^^That is easily remedied! Well, easy as in expensive. :( Unless you try the auction site...seems that is where I get most of my Nike stuff these days. The new stuff is just getting too darn expensive. $45 for shorts??? Jeesh!

Maybe Blake doesnt want to be #5 on the Nike Tennis lists. He can go over to Fila and be the Head Honcho. Maybe FILA will allow him to be more involved in the devolopment process of the clothing. With nike he was wearing Nadal's clothes. He possibly wanted his own and a chance to get his name out there by himself and not with Fed, Nadal, Pova, and whoever else associated with it.

And from the Pic that shirt looks really sweet

and this shirt would go perfect with those gravitates of yours auzzie

Unless by "hustle shot" you mean "slap-across-the-face-of-the-ball-on-the-run-shot", which I have perfected it.

Don't know if you got my final phone call, but the capt. said you can't come out since the other team might complain. It's not like they might benefit by "practicing" against a better player, or god forbid that they lose a game in a practice session.......

Wow, I did not know of this thread and how huge it is. I am looking for indoor courts in the DC area, pros to take lessons with and hitting partners.

I am almost 24 and a 3.0-3.5 player who played high school varsity, which was 6 years ago. I would like to play more often as I do not play enough ever since high school.

There are 850 pages to this thread and I don't have time to look through all of them, though.

Hey Tnsguy25,

Welcome to the TWMAC.

DC has two great PUBLIC indoor facilities. Search Easern Potmomac TEnnis, which is near the tidal basin in DC and Rock Creeek park tennis - it's where they hold the Legg MAson Tourney. Both have good indoor courts and reasonable rates and no membership fee.

If you are looking for lessons, one of our own guys here on this thread is an excellent Pro. He'll probably reply to your post.

ALSO, subscribe to this thread. We hold tennis and tennis/bbq events throughout the year.
