Think you meant to list the first 2 racquets as CX 200 Tour 18x20 and CX 200 Tour 16x19. :)

The Tours are a shade lighter (maybe?) than in the past, some new damper technology in the shaft than the previous release and, of course, the cosmetic is reversed.

EDIT: added below

The Tour 18x20 looks VERY interesting.
I played previous version of the 200 18x20 and always enjoyed them. I've heard the CX is an improvement but I never played the previous gen, or this one. I'm interested in the standard cx 200. My son's coach hits with the previous version and I've hit to my son for drills with it. Feel is really good from light hitting, never served or done heavy hitting.

Really hoping I get selected. Never been picked as a play tester. Previous CX200 is my current racquet (occasionally hit Head G360+ Extreme Tour which has very similar specs). Sounds like this new version could be even better than the last (At least the Paint job looks like an improvement). Fingers crossed.

Dunlop kind of did just switch the color scheme up a bit but I like this version better than the previous one. My friend got some demos so might be able to post some impressions sometime in the future.

My last Dunlop frame that I played with exclusively was the Aerogel 200. This should be a blast from the past if I get selected.

Funny how the swingweights decrease by 1 pt each and the flex increases.

I will skip this play-test. But curious to find out what the reviewers think about the new CX 200 Tour 18x20. I used older version of this for sometime and really loved it.

Perhaps purely coincidental? Don’t know how good Dunlop’s QC is but i sure would be a coincidence if this was Head or Wilson. :)
I’m sure it’s coincidental. I just found it amusing. That said, both Biomemetic pairs I had (200 and 300 tour) were within 1gm of spec.

Last time I’m played with a Dunlop was with my Aerogel 200, which I assume is an ancestor of the 18x20 version, at least in spirit. That frame was wonderful in feel, but a little above my skill grade at the time . Now that I’ve played with all manner of ‘player’s racquets’ I think I can better handle this type of stick.

Extensively played with the Dunlop 200 series a while back. Played with the M-fils, Aerogels, Aerogel 4D, and Biomimetic lines for several years (was a Dunlop sponsored coach during the time). My favorite were the 200 tour lines which were heavier and had 16x18 patterns on a 95 sq in head size. They were also in the 330 gram range and 20.0 mm. They definitely had a lively string bed and plow through was awesome. Great amount of pop for a thin-beamed stick and definitely suited “drive through the ball” type of groundies. Loved it on serves, flattening out forehands, and on my one hander.

With regards to relatively recent releases, the Dunlop Srixon Revo CX 2.0 tour is probably the closest to the old aerogels in terms of feel and performance. Was able to try the last CX 200 tour 18x20 and definitely started stepping into more modern player frame category as it felt a bit stiffer and provided more free power.

With the new line, I’m most curious about the CX 200 tour 16x19 and am hoping to get selected for a playtest.

I used to play with the last gen version of the CX200 Tour 16x19; really excited to see what this one has to offer. Hopefully these feel a little smoother than the last generation of them. Still have my other one in my bag as a practice racket :p

It is great for the game to have Dunlop returning to the top of the game with such an array consistently high quality and relevant offerings. I am sure that they have the attention of the big four and I will not be surprised to see Dunlop frames in the hands of more top-ranked players in the near future.

There have been times when other racquets have felt better to me, but I have always got my best tournament and league results playing with Dunlop frames.

I've ordered the CX 200 Tour 16/19 blind. It should be here Tuesday. It would be cool to be able to test the 18/20 to see if I made the right choice.
Either way I should be able to provide a review of the 16/19 tour.

After seeing the TW reviews of these frames I'm really excited to get mine in as I haven't seen Michelle and crew glowing this much in a recent play test.

Huge fan of the CX 200, I have always gravitated to any 98-100'' that is 16x19. I describe it as a cross between a radical and a blade, but not low powered enough like a prestige. Interested to see how this one stacks up. Paint job is very nice!!

initial impressions after stringing because i'm superficial:
  • strung with TF ice code 1.25mm at 46 lbs
  • probably the weirdest stringbed i've seen on a 16x19 midplus racket. the mains are spaced out evenly, but the crosses are super concentrated in the middle. it's harder to tell in the pic, but the mains looks significantly more spaced than the crosses in the middle of the racket.
  • also can't remember the last time i skipped 8M on the mains of a 16x19 racket.
seems like it'll be an interesting hit tonight

How is the paint? Does the ice code look awesome in it?

the paint looks and feels nice. the red paint is more of a pearl and doesnt feel rubbery. the flat black is a nice touch and feels the same. i've used ice code in a handful of rackets and it doesnt look good in any racket imo. a black string would look much better

Y'all know I'm throwing Hyper G in this thing, right?

initial hitting impressions on groundstrokes (will elaborate in the full review). racket is stock with an O damp:
  • more power than expected although still not much
  • feel is solid but a tad muted
  • not a fan of the string spacing at all on the 16x19 - trajectory is erratic
  • racket swings like it's very polarized, but the SW is so low
  • it really could use some lead at 10/2

We are finally getting some rain, so the soonest possible hit is over the weekend.

Just got my cx200 in the mail. Paint is niceee, not glossy but more like glittery matte, pretty similar to car paint IMO. First impressions just by swinging it strung in my living room is it doesn't have a high swing weight and headlight

Nice to see that brands of the past are beginning to put out some quality products..
Head too is stepping up once again..
We all benefit as now the others can not accept status quo..
