I'm so excited about this frame. I'm currently using my Dunlop aerogel 4D 200 18x20 and I can say that since I discovered this racquet ( and Dunlop racquets in general) I have not been able to play with anything else, the feel these racquets have is so addictive.

I forgot to mention that while I still play with my trusted 4D 200, I have also played with the prior iteration of this racquet. That one had an incredibly nice feel and suprisingly solid contact considering the spec.

My sometimes erratic foehand was finding the court even when I didn't hit it as clean as a could have. It is a low power racquet but honestly if you swing big and somewhat flatter the ball come out like a laser beam low and deep thru the court.

Backhands with both the 4D200 and the last iteration of this racquet are simple my best shot. Consistent and I can really generate power ( and spin) when I find myself in right place at the right time.

My serves, when dieled in come fast and hit the back of the line. Especially the slice serve is great with Revo racquet.

The only time I didn't feel as confident was at the net when playing with really strong hitters. I did, however, added some led tape to 3 and 9 and to the handle ( brought the spec to about 12.5 )I ande racquet played amazing. I stayed with my 4D only because I felt my confortable (aka used to) with it and because I figured I'd wait to the next iteration and see how I feel before making the switch.

Looks super interesting, the extended length especially. They all look like very well made frames.

EDIT: I replied to my original email asking to change my racquet preference, I hope that will be adjusted for.

Super well made honestly. You know how sometimes frames feel hollow and and almost "plastic". I have always found Dunlop and now Dunlop Srixon to be very solid raquets. That's partially why the feel so stable even when the swing weight isn't super high.

Trying to find new racquet. Played with Classic Graphite, tried the new Babolats..debating between those as well as Wilson Pro-Staff L.
 
i have really enjoyed every srixon that i have picked up over the past year. The build quality and paint jobs are beautiful.
 
I have gotten most of my best league and tournament results using Dunlop frames. I have tried frames from many companies over the years. Some frames have felt much better than others. A few times I have strayed away in search of better results but I have always migrated back to Dunlop.

At the moment, I am at the very bottom of my stack of Aerogel 200 tours. Love that frame but since those are no longer available, it would be nice to get a test drive of the next generation of Dunlop offerings.
 
@TW Staff, I just realized I misread the instructions and specified the CX 200+ in my email, when in reality, any of them would have been fine (although I would prefer the '+').

me too. played plenty of different frames over the years (and i still think the wilson fpk tapered beam might be my overall favorite all-time racket), but always been at my best w dunlops: 200 revelation, for many years now ag100's, and most recently the srixon 2.0 anderson racket. they just have nice feel and balance, not too much of anything in any direction, but versatile.
 
If you don't mind me asking, what criteria is used for your picks?
I assume my relatively low amount of activity on the forum isn't great for my chances?
If it's any consolation I have a ton of recent experience with similar frames (PS97, 97S, RF97, TC95, Duel G 330, DR98, PD Tour, etc) to go off of if I am chosen.
 
Can't wait to test this out, really looking forward to it! I haven't used a Dunlop or Srixon racquet in a long time, but these specs look promising and they look very solid.

While forum activity is one criteria, they've stated before that participation in 'smaller' playtests will help. Many of us have done playtests for strings, grips, shoes, clothing...even vibration dampeners.

I'd suggest: make a point of checking out the Strings, Shoes and Apparel, and Other Equipment sections on a daily basis. If a playtest is posted, sign up for it. If selected, give an honest, in-depth review, and your chances will rise for the racquet playtests. I don't know if it helps, but I always make a point of posting some type of media (images, video, etc.) along w/ my review (for example, I always have screenshots from RacquetTune that tracks the tension drop of a string I'm testing).

And on that note...Woohoo! I was selected! Don't know for which frame yet, but I'm happy to give any of these a good swing.
 
Normally, Tennis Warehouse and whichever producer will announce a playtest featuring a single one of the producer's frames. This playtest is a really brilliant idea by TW and Dunlop Srixon to have multiple frame styles in the same playtest. I am guessing that a few playtesters will each test and review one of the selected frame from the same release.

This format will give readers a chance to read multiple reviews from different playtesters with some testing different frames. That information, along with the specs, will give readers a good starting point to choose the Dunlop Srixon racquet that best fits their style of play.

Looking forward to reading all of the reviews for each of the frames.

We focus on a number of factors. Post count in the relevant forum is weighted heavily, as is performance in past playtests. As McLovin mentioned, it helps to start with a string or grip playtest, as the bar for entry is lower. That said, we occasionally put new users on racquet playtests, provided they have at least 50 posts. Best advice is to keep on posting!

I think everyone gets chosen eventually. The string play test is pretty fun, as I’ve done one so far. It kind of opens your eyes to different strings. I haven’t gotten chosen for a “dampener” playtest yet (jk I don’t think they have those).

The 'dampener' playtest was a one-off that was tied to the Luxilon Gut playtest a few years ago. Luxilon was debuting their natural gut, and tons of people applied. Since there wasn't enough gut to go around, TW & Luxilon did a side playtest of their new overgrip and their new vibration dampeners for those who did not get selected, but were interested in trying those items out.
 
Just got the CV 200 in the mail, the throat seems a little long, similar to the Wilson Blade, will be posting initial reactions and full review later on this week
 
The CX200 Tour 16 x19 came today. The colorway looks even better in person than it does in the photos. Very clever how the Dunlop logo on the strings lines up with paint on the frame. IMHO the only way that it could look better would be if the red was replaced with silver. That way, it would be full-on Raiders colors!!

Loving the racquet cover also. It is made like a black smoking jacket material with Dunlop Srixon nicely embroidered into it. Normally, I tend to give away racquet covers, this one is staying with me!
 
Mine is scheduled for Mon arrival as well like McLovin. Was hoping for a weekend arrival so I could have it strung up and ready to go but I guess not meant to be. Lots of snow incoming by tonight but we have been playing indoors since last month up here anyway so I suppose that doesn't matter. My playtest will be on indoor super fast hard courts. Looking forward to the playtest.
 
Mine was scheduled to arrive Friday, but I'm going to be at a coaching conference this weekend, so I rescheduled it to arrive Monday. I'll get to teach with it Monday, play Thursday and the weekend, then take it home with me over Thanksgiving and hopefully play some more up there.
 
I'm in New England, almost as far as possible from SLO, so mine isn't scheduled to arrive until Tuesday. Looking forward to it!
 
Anyone have any pictures of their racquets? Blizzard outside and no pictures in this thread make for a gloomy combination. Mine doesn't come until Mon.
