Interested to see how these feel on the court. I am pretty active on the court and accordingly can be hard on shoes. Feeling connected to the court is important for balance and stability and good arch support is critical. There seem to be a lot of good shoes in the market nowadays so I'm curious to see how these Prince Venom shoes stack up!! From what I can see they look good and the tread patterns seems to flow nicely.

I submitted for the playtest but what happens if the shoes are too tight and pinch your toes? I had to return my Rafa Cages because of this. Or what happens if they run half a size small? This happened to me with the Lacoste LT-23.

did you look at the shoe description? Hopefully that will help you decide on the right size. I normally go with true to size. If the shoe says runs small/big, I'm hesitant to purchase. Some shoes I need to alter what socks or even insoles. Some shoes I can wear almost any sock from standard dri-fit to a level 3 Thorlo.

IMO...if you can continue with playtest without getting hurt...then state your positive/negative observations. Describe your foot profile and what shoes you normally use. This will help with the review content that TW/Prince is looking for

why shouldn’t it? customer recognition?
I can see where you are coming from but I don't believe that @TW Staff draws their playtesters that way. I've noticed they like to spread the wealth. I've had a dry spell on play tests from time to time. Maybe it was because it was a small inventory available to provide or I was one that requested a highly popular item like a grip size or so. TW has said good reviews help with selection or at least keep you in the running

Most people on the board are racketaholics and/or tennis nerds. I’m sure the people who are chosen also buy (*maybe not always the rackets) tennis related stuff from TW and other tennis retailers.

I’ve heard that participating in the string playtest is a good way to start. Just have to keep applying and participate in the discussions.

Do they ever test anything besides polyester there?

yes but not often

IIRC the non poly strings

Solinco prototype synthetic
Yonex Rexis
Babolot Origin & Excel (could have come with a racquet playtest)

Those are the few that come to mind...but generally I've seen poly play tests

I think so. I believe Yonex & Tecnifibre multi's were recently used for playtests.

I like the fact that Prince Venoms are much lighter than the T22 and they have an all court sole since unfortunately not every court I play on has a perfect country club finish!

I like the idea that it is a lower in the forefoot with a little more cushioning in the rear. It seems like this will set you up in a slightly more athletic position, shifting a little weight to the forefoot - that could be a very good thing and help you to be a touch quicker around the court. I am all about being quicker to the ball.

congrats on the play testers!
I'm pretty happy to be in on this one. Thanks TW and Prince!!

I'm pretty picky about footwear so looking forward to putting the Prince "Venom" through the paces immediately !
I wonder, what color (s) are being sent out?
LMK if there is anything in particular you need to know.
I play an all court game so shoes are an important part of being able to play my game.

Besides that I hear Spiderman wears them !!

Was notified shoes will be on their way this week! I wonder what color we'll get or if it varies. I like the white / green / orange of the men's the best. The women's all white looks even better (probably the Wimbledon effect) to me. Don't know if we'll get tracking, but will keep an eye on my mailbox. Thanks again TW / Prince !
