I want to test them ALL !! Love what Solinco has been doing with the Hyper-G Round and the Hyper-G Hybrid. If this new offering is anything like those they will have another winner !!
@TW Staff can you share if this is a shaped or round string?

We'd rather keep the details secret for now. Obviously, you'll know once you get it, but our lips are sealed.

Loves me some Hyper-G/Hyper-G Round hybrid also! I'm currently on my first go with the Tru Pro Pure Rush/Ghostwire hybrid. It feels pretty sweet also. I'm not getting as much spin as the HG/HGR combo but it's still pretty dang sweet. Playability seems to improve over time as well.

Really looking forward to this one! Solinco is a proven, cutting edge OEM.
Actually, AFAIK, Zons Industrial is the real OEM. They're the ones actually making the strings for Solinco, and dare I say a majority of everything coming out of Taiwan. That said, yes, Solinco does have patents and IP rights on the base formulations, I would have to imagine. Plus the marketing, sales, distribution, etc. That stuff doesn't just get done magically. So clearly, they're a competent business.

Huge tour bite fan as one of my primary strings. Would love to try out other solinco strings like hyper g and the new one!!!

Hope it’s something along the lines of Hyper-G but with a more connected feel and available in other colors.

I like how Hyper-G performs but don’t like how super muted it is (yes, I know that’s how they’ve made it less harsh). They’ve made enough really stiff TB-style poly’s now, it’s time for a more intermediate-friendly one.

We don't now the color or shape...yet. I am guessing it will be a shaped blue string - maybe the one we've heard so much about ! I hope so but should know soon enough.

Me three! In for the play test as well. Super excited to try it out. I'm leaning towards a hybrid with HGR since that's what I've played with.

I'm in too! Looking forward to this one immensely! NorCal rain forecast for tomorrow (Thurs and into Friday) ... should be good to go this weekend! Heading out to hit at lunchtime today (Wednesday) in a few mins!

UPS just handed it to me. Surprised when I opened the package. I won’t spoil for people eagerly awaiting theirs. Thanks for the opportunity @TW Staff. As soon as this rain clears I’ll be having a go with it!
@FoldingChair …..Thanks for not doing the spoiler thing…..we should try and keep it under wraps for the recipients (like me, yay!), at least for a few days. Maybe it’s just me, but it’s funny how something as simple as a mystery string can get you excited about a package coming, and then heading to the courts for a hit …can’t wait! :) Thanks TW and Solinco!

It's on like Donkey Kong! I'm excited to give it a run but am currently loving the Tru Pro Pure Rush/Ghost Wire setup. I'm 18 hours into it and it's still playing pretty sweet. I'll give it another week then cut them out. Game on!

Can’t believe you get 18 hours from that setup. Full bed of Pure Rush in an EZ98 didn’t even make it to 3 hours for me.
You probably hit a lot harder and with more spin than me. I, typically, don't break strings. They would shear more often than being clean breaks around the sweet spot. I've gotten as much as 26 hours before having to cut them out. It's only been recent that I break strings but they've been on poly/syn gut hybrids. I have not had any full poly breaks.

@ngoster Reading your sig from the post above it dawned on me ...I think we use the same racquets if you're using the CX200 which I'm and the older Dunlop 300g's; just started using the SX 300 which does have a more open pattern so I can see more string wear on this one; but like you, I don't break the poly's unless they're in a gut or multi hybrid (both of which will break before the poly). It may be something to do with the tight 16x19 pattern in the 300g / CX 200 . And I see you may be using the CX200 18x20 which would be even tighter; you're probably also getting good snap-back action with stringing at those lower tensions; it makes sense.

So yeah I'm definitely ok with not be a string breaker when it comes to poly but I am checking notching and playability issues frequently. With the SX 300 I'm going to be trying out a series of yellow colored strings which I just order from TW; the yellow looks nice in this last gen frame; would probably look good in the new one that just came out as well. So far in the yellows it's been a carry over from Poly Tour Drive / Poly Tour Drive Soft playtest; these softer strings added some power and even as PTDS dropped tension it was still pretty good for our weather conditions here this winter (NorCal). I'm looking forward though to trying something more crisp in this SX 300 so I don't know what's in the package yet but I'm hoping it's something like Solinco Confidential and if it's black or yellow it should look pretty good in the frame (so that would be a bonus). Got the package last night but I'm going to wait (raining today and tomorrow) have mixed match on Sat. so maybe take the package to the club and do a "reveal" with my friends.

My string shipped out yesterday, but won't arrive till after the holiday weekend :( Currently using confidential mains so I'm curious about this one. Wish we could've picked 16 gauge though.

*** Spoiler Alert *** @Way2Slow IF you don't want to see pics of the new Solinco String (as of yet unreleased ) please skip this post !! My apologies but I just can't help myself !!
They look great !! The blue color is an outstanding choice !!
Some people will say that lighter colors are livelier when compared to their grey and black counterparts, but that is a whole other debate.
To my touch they are a bit softer than the Hyper-G Round that was also included.
For those wondering "Blu" is a shaped poly - like Solinco Tour Bite, Hyper-G and Confidential.
I was a big fan of the Hyper-G Hybrid in 17ga (1.20) - I hope these strings @ 16L (1.25) have the same magic !!

Maybe the code "CB" on the label stands for "Confidential Blue"? Also, nice close up photo!

It does. But this string has a new formulation. In the another thread, someone said that all the new Solinco strings are codenamed confidential. The black confidential available at retail today just kept the name since it worked well for the string. (Plus because of the name there is an TW review with it with acadamy award winning acting!)

Got in as well! Surprised as I missed this thread until this morning. Been using TB 1.20 for ~12 years and starting to search for something with just a little more pop to help me out. Haven't found anything that comes quite close enough to the feel of TB that I'm so used to. Hopeful this will be a good option!

This is so funny. I recently picked up last gen's SX 300 T as well. It's been a blast to play with and yellow strings do look great in it. Agreed. With the wider string pattern, the crosses seem to be wearing much faster than in the 200T.

I've recently embraced the fact that I'm a bit of a Dunlop fanboy. I only carry 3 racquets in my bag, a 2019 CX 200T 18M, a 2022 CX 200T 16M and a 2022 SX 300T. The 200T 16M is my gamer because it does just about everything right for me. The 200T 18M is super fun to play with but with the consistently lower launch angle, my shots find the tape of the tape of the net too often. I rotate it with the gamer for rallies and fun social matches. The SX 300T is too launchy to be reliable in a match so it's my warmup stick. Warming up with it helps me find that "feel" that's hard to describe. It just makeThe gamer feels like it's on steroids after warming up with the

Although there's a satisfying feeling of getting clean breaks, I'm completely happy when a good feeling setup lasts forever. Like you, once the mains start to stick out of place, loss of control follows. The decision to cut isn't too far behind, more so because it becomes distracting to constantly have to straighten them in between points/rallies. I have a flat swing and need to consciously impart spin when needed. Clean breaks happen in the crosses while typical breaks are main shears at the tip of the racquet.

I’m on the playtest. I’m excited as I’m a huge Solinco fan. A lot of their strings fall right in my wheelhouse.

I have tried pretty much every Solinco string but always end up back on TB. It has been has my go to for almost 10 years because of its spin, control, predictable launch angle, and durability. A bit more feel and pocketing would be nice, though, especially in the thicker gauges.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how this new string plays.

Highly looking forward to reviews of the new strings especially in comparison to TB which is also my current favorite !
