Attention Talk Tennis Members:

Let’s spring into another playtest! We have a limited quantity of Solinco Whiteout v2 racquets to playtest in select models (305 and 305 XTD). This playtest is open to USA Talk Tennis members only.

VERY IMPORTANT: Playtesters will be required to get their test racquet strung. Each racquet will be shipped with two set of strings. We have one grip size available - grip 3.

Application period is closed. Selected participants will be emailed by March 31st. ***There is a small delay and selected participants will be selected on Monday.***

I've never played with any Solinco rackets in the past, so it would be cool to have the opportunity to playtest this one. I am currently playing with the T-Fight 315 ISO, which I think would be a competitor to the Whiteout. It would be an interesting comparison. I love the camo design!

the Whiteout v2 is a great update! I already have two so I'm sitting this one out. :)

btw, the QC is quite good on the 2 that I have.

unstrung SW of racquet 1 is 292. unstrung SW of racquet 2 is 294. both have the same balance.
That is good to know about their QC, something I was just wondering about. :)

Fun! There are so many great entries into the 98/305/16x19 range lately, across categories. I’ve been enjoying a few of these and would love to review the Whiteout!

Eagerly following this one. V1 was nice but I preferred the Blade. Heard so many good things about v2 that I’m expecting a much improved stick. LFG!

I’m going to be honest here, and say my Whiteout days are behind me. I’ll wait for the Blackout V2 playtest (and hope I get selected). Enjoy!

Submitted. YOLO. Really liked the V1 305 16m when I tried it for a few months in 2022.

Just signed up! Am looking for something with more free power but similar feel to my gravity pros and this was on my demo list

Wow - was just saying to my hitting partner how much I'd love to try a v2 305!

Signed up, and also on the Lynx Spin 2 rPet playtest, which would be fun to do in tandem :)

Good luck everyone! I do enjoy a good White Out, but gonna sit this out to stay committed to my ongoing Origin vs EZ98 internal struggle!
Will definitely be following, especially the XTD reviews!

I really liked the v1, but what I was looking for was a touch more power and slightly more muted response. From what I've read/heard the v2 fits the bill. Can't wait to try it out one way or another!!

Was on the v1 XTD playtest. Hoping to get to do a comparison. Was just coaching at a high school invitational in the Redondo Beach area over the weekend and there were Whiteouts all over the place. Great to see!

The latest playtests are grip 3 only. Is this a trend or only a coincidence? Is there still hope for those of us that play grip 2, in future playtests? @TW Staff

Used to use whiteout xtd 18x20, but got some elbow soreness/pain. Now using a regular length, Kinda want to try how the v2 feels, even though it’s more muted

Both rackets would be VERY interesting to try out. Babolat used to be a string only company..... Will solinco become the new babolat?
Wouldn’t be too surprised if they can be one of the major players out of all the smaller racket brands!

Signed up for the regular 305 due to my love for Tour Bite.... Was a little hesitant to buy blind (like I typically do) due to the more open string pattern... I currently use the Ezone 98 specifically the Aqua Night paintjob.

As a tour bite user, interested to see how it balances out the muted feel from the v2 that I’ve been hearing a lot about from other reviews.

After playing the 22 EZ98 for about 6 months now - ive lost my racket "feel fussy-ness". It only bothers me if things are really really bad. Feel is more a negotiable item that can be ironed out with familiarity especially if the racket "flows through the air" easily. Strings are still pretty important to me so if selected I will only test with my regular setup - Tour Bite Mains x CyberFlash Crosses.

Yes, still hope. Depending on the playtest, there will either be a mix of grip size 2 and 3 to choose from or all grip size 2 or all grip size 3.

Thanks,
Brittany, TW
Thank you, this is great to hear. It is always possible to build up to a bigger grip size with an overgrip but the reverse is not possible.

WOW ! I've been playing my Babolat Pure Strike 98 16x19, but they don't make an extended version (they do for most of their other lines)...Solinco DOES !! Love the digital CAMO pj !!
Would love to string this up with their latest MACH-10 Hybrid or Hyper-G Hybrid !!
Solinco is on a roll with so many good products strings, racquets, overgrips, bags, but I kind of geek out over little things like their weighted buttcaps - these make customization so easy !!

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK SOLINCO !!

PS: Couldn't make it to Indian Wells this year... perhaps they'll load us up with some "Stringlets"!!!

I've wanted to try a Solinco racquet for a while now. Seems that the only people I see who play with them are quite good, but I rarely see them on the courts. I like the specs on this one, so I'm throwing my name in the hat.

I like the variety Solinco has delivered throughout its racquet lineups; several weights (290, 305), lengths (27, 27.5 28) string density (16x19, 18x20) and now V1 and V2 iterations! One size doesn't fit all and each change brings some subtle and not so subtle differences. Love that camo on the V2 and the V2 inspired bag !!
For those wondering about the V2 specs :

I’ve been flirting with the idea of switching to a Blade 98 16x19 but I heard this is a really good competitor with better spin and power. Curious to see how this one plays. Good luck everyone!

I’ve been using Tourna Pro Thin replacement grips for a long time now to shrink grip sizes or to put lead under the replacement grip and not increase the grip size if that is something you’re concerned about. Works perfectly imo!

Nice, any idea about the swing weights?

I am excited to try this new WhiteOut V2 XTD... I like the idea of an even more stable, foam-filled extended length racquet. Strung up with the new MACH-10 or Hyper-G Hybrid and I can't imagine not liking the experience. Also, from what I hear the WhiteOut string spacing is a bit wider than many other racquets.
