More precise and several options available to try. I usually add some weight in the trap door to my racquets - so like the idea of knowing how much weight and being able to swap it in and out easily til I figure out what suits my set up. With various lengths, weights, string patterns, strings and weight modules Solinco really gives players a great chance to find a set up that suits their game.
I may like or follow certain players, but I don't want or need their setup - I need one that works for me!

Great update. I love it. Currently deciding between the tfight 305s and whiteout v2 as my main choice. We will see!
But I guess nothing new from me because v1 and ISO were my favourites as well haha. I think the v2 update from v1 is kinda cleaner score than the update from iso to tfight 305s which took quite a big turn in direction.

How would you compare the two so far? I have to assume the whiteout has greater access to spin, but how else would you differentiate them?

They are more different than similar to be honest but the reason why I put them at the top is how consistent they are in the things they have to offer.
but in general ye. Spin goes to whiteout, comfort goes to whiteout, forgiveness goes to whiteout, control goes to tfight 305s, stability goes to whiteout, tfight 305s lower launch.
With the tfight 305s I am counterpunching a bit better. With the whiteout I am dictating a bit better.
In other words also:
I love how spin friendly tfight 305s is despite the “tighter” pattern
I love how controlled whiteout is despite the “opened” pattern.
Whiteout is easier to customize. And stock to stock I think it plays better. Tfight 305s needs an experienced rider imo but as it’s more specialised it can offer something unique. Whiteout is more “safe”.

When the WhiteOut and BlackOut first hit the scene 3 years ago everyone loved having newer and modern alternatives to Power and Control racquets and I think they (along with several others) have helped to move the racquet market in new positive ways. More innovation and fresh approach. It seems like this WO V2 is the latest iteration in this fresh approach with a new layup that tunes the racquet even further. As a former cyclist, material is critical but with carbon fiber - the carbon layup makes all the difference! Hearing great things from this - hope it lives up to the hype. I know first-hand Solinco's strings have been shining brightly, so I'm really excited to see if the racquets keep pace !!

I honestly thinking we should compare whiteout v2 with tfight 300s. Maybe we should costumize 300s a little bit so they have nearly same spec.
I also think we shoud compare tfight 305s with whiteout v2 18x20 later on. I think it will be an interesting head-on, considering v1 18x20 spin is higher than average 18x20 rackets
Maybe tell me if i am wrong in this matter.

You are right. I would throw in Wilson blade, Dunlop cx200 and Head gravity tour. Maaaaybe speed mp.
No need to customize 300s. Fun frame and stable in stock form. Quite explosive and very raw in feel, spinny as well so you have the whole package. Kinda “improved” yonex vcore 98 which is muted, unstable in stock form and lacks authority (despite being heavier)
Whiteout v2 is more about the feel and control but with the forgiveness and spin potential above typical control oriented frames. So in that sense gravity tour could be the closest friend to whiteout v2 although gravity tour pushes the ball a bit harder and higher with more spin but less control. And that’s why maybe gravity tour and whiteout v2 both are in my top 5 frames
“more aggressive blade” and “ezone with better feel” territory.

I received a confirmation this morning. I am completely stoked! First time reviewing a racquet but I've watch many of them on TW YouTube so here goes! Solinco strings and overgrips are well known to me but I don't think I've ever hit with one of their frames so it will be a very fresh experience. Totally looking forward to this great experience!

Congrats guys - excited to read first impressions and reviews - I really enjoyed the v1 and think this is a solid 98 silo. Secretly glad I didn't get picked with USTA season kicking off and being busy with trying out the TFights - enjoy!!

Playtesting can be both exciting and stressful. Strings, not so much but racquets during league can be something else to manage.

WhiteOut V1 18x20 was my main stick for a couple of years. It was very spin-friendly and well-rounded. Even though I’ll be reviewing the XTD version, it will be interesting to see the updates. I have been looking for a lighter stick (*have been using 315-320 gram sticks lately) that offers easier access to power without sacrificing control. Seems like the WO XTD might be a perfect fit, Very excited.

Some preliminary thoughts as I'm thinking thru the upcoming playtest ... what I've seen, heard and know (from the my frames -Dunlops-) so far.
Hoping to get this one strung up for play this weekend! Should be here in the next day or so since we're in NorCal and it's shipping out of SLO. It's kind of surprising to me, after talking with friends at our club just how "under the radar" Solinco's frames are. So hopefully once I get this thing on the courts, I can get it into a couple of friends hands; one just got a Blade v9 and the other the Head Radical MP (it's neon red). My comparisons will have to be with the box beam CX200 and the older Dunlop 300g (it's probably a 20 year old design); I don't think the Dunlop SX 300, since it's a spin oriented frame is an apples to apples comparison.
So far, it appears this WO v2 should be competing against the Blade v9 and other similar 98's.
Evidently you're at a big advantage if you've hit with the V1 so you can compare the more muted feel of the V2; I haven't hit with the V1 so I won't know other than what other playtesters have said.
In the Dunlop line the 300g's don't really have any of the newer dampening either in the layup or in some type of foam injection (handle or hoop); they're so old this wasn't even considered back then they were just getting the layups perfected back then with different graphite orientations I think; so you get a lot of feedback on off center hits (and you almost have to add lead at 3 and 9 and 12 to get stability and plow thru dialed in). Now, by comparison, the CX 200 has a muted, plush, comfort level so much different; still a control frame but much more "comfortable" to play with but still customizable with lead for plough thru. So in my mind this may be what the Solinco WO V1 and V2 distinctions in feel might be (but probably to a lesser degree); it's hard to imagine it being as stark a contrast but maybe it's similar in some way.
I spent a couple hours watching reviews online just to get a feeling of where this frame is positioned; one of the most interesting was @dr. godmode (TennConn) who ranked the WOv1 at his top tier (evidently he didn't rank the v2 yet in the tiers). Excellent video btw; agree or disagree; it was well thought out based on what he is looking for in a frame (feel i.e. feedback without overly being dampened). Just as a side note, he's probably the only playtester I've seen that ranked the SX300 above the CX and FX; so again it's preference for Spin I'd say. That's kind of why I picked up the SX 300 besides the fact that the 2022 model was an absolute steal once the 2025 came out. It's all about what you want and what suits your playing style at the end of the day.

Interesting, since they had claimed the V2 was not going to replace the V1, but live alongside it.
Now I'm thinking "do I stock up on V1 Blackout XTD, or wait for the V2?", since it's also on sale.

The feel, from my understanding talking to a rep. Using strings as an analogy, V1s are more like Tour Bite (stiff/crisp) and V2s are more like Mach-10/HG (a little more plush/smoother) if that makes sense focusing purely on feel..
