Tennis.....Worst sport to watch an interview!?

Every interview I watch is sooooo painful. Especially the interview in the tunnel before the match. Who wants a mic in there face right before they are taking the court? Who do you blame? Is it the interviewer who usually ask a stupid question or the player who doesn't really care to be interviewed. I can't blame the player because he is just reacting to the silly comment by the interviewer or awkardly trying to answer some idiotic question that has just been asked. This goes for prematch, postmatch and duringmatch interviews (they would if they could). For some reason this is the only sport that I feel this about.

Agreed. Stop the prematch interview in the tunnel. It's always the same "I have to play my best tennis to win" crap. Post match on-court interview is OK.

Same thing happens in basketball at the end of half interview. They usually interview the player that has the most points of the team that is ahead. Nothing good ever comes out of this, since the player is out of breath, sweating profusely, and in a hurry to get into the locker room for halftime.

The only place they should interview pro athletes is in the press conference afterwards. Everywhere else, all you get is canned answers.

Yeah what we need is arrogant athletes like in other sports who talk trash about everyone else. Tennis is a sport for nerds and geeks and let us keep it that way. Let the others have their few years of stardom and then grow obese and flabby while we play for a lifetime.

One of the lamer questions is along the lines of "Do you look forward to your semi-final match with ____? Or do you take it a match at a time?"

Well, it's not like the player's gonna say "I definitely can beat my opponents in the next few rounds because they have low rankings, so I'm looking forward to my semi-final match 3 matches away."

The answer is so predictable, it's always like : it's gonna be a tough match, I don't wanna get ahead of myself, I take every match seriously, etc.
