I'm using my vintage Prince Graphite Pro 90 (circa 1986) 80% graphite, 20% fiberglass, and have begun playing more this year stringing this racket with Head PPS Syngut 17G at 61.5 lbs.
This racket and string combination plays like a dream against the big hitters but really falls apart with players that have medium or low pace (my shots are either too long or if I try to compensate end up too short).
I purchased 3 copolys (Babolat Pro Hurricane 18g, Big Banger® Alu Power Spin 17g, and Big Banger® Alu Power Rough 17g), 2 premium multifilaments (Prince Perfection 17g, and Wilson NXT 17g) and two synguts (Prince Synthetic Gut Original 17g and Head PPS Syngut 17g).
After I restrung with the Head PPS Syngut 17g at 61.5lbs, I had some tendonitis from the last (pinky) finger to my wrist on my playing hand (first time in all the years using the Graphite Pro 90 I've had any issues).
I'm looking for tension and string configuration (main and crosses) recommendations using the above seven strings I just mentioned.
Recommended tension for this racket is 55-70 lbs.
I'm about a 4.0 player.
