After seeing several posts about hybrid stringing, I did not see any comments pertaining to difference in tensions for these different type of strings.

I found the ideal tension for my PDGT Roddick to be 59 pounds for the main and cross, but since I changed to a soft co-poly (BA and BAM) in the cross rather than a syn. gut, I string the cross at 54 pounds being it is recommended to string co-polys 10% less.

With that set-up, it results in a 5 pound difference between the strings, which is twice the recommended tension difference. I really like the feel - soft, but firm.

I believe the Kevlar (Ashaway 17) stretches out and the tension drops quickly on the main to around 57/56 thereby giving me a delta of 3/2. I do not believe the co-poly drops any if at all for sometime.

    Are my tension assumptions correct?

With this set-up, am I causing damage to the racquet?

What do others do with Kevlar in the main and Co-Poly in the Cross?

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Thank you.
