NOHO will dominate them I bet. I predict mostly straight sets. 5-0 unless they retire when they win. That NETX team looked really strong in group play. NOHO’s lopsided scores against NETX prove their ability far outweighs their ratings as usual.

NOHO wins 4-1. Every match was straight sets. San Antonio got a win at singles 2. Looks like Austin ended up being NOHO's closest match after all.

Geez that guy who was playing 3.5 in 2019 lost 2 games in three singles matches ! I guess everyone here was focused on the wrong guy ?

But we all knew that team would win. It was almost a foregone conclusion. Their only hurdle was Austin.

It looks like the top two teams are NOHO and Austin, both with multiple players with UTRs 8 and above, including at least one 9.14! Ridiculous for 4.0, and they play each other in the first round, so the rest of the tournament will be anticlimactic.
The problem with that being it’s supposed to be 4.0 tennis. The other problem with that being he might not even win easily despite being way out of level. The NOHO team should be full of guys like him knowing their captains history.

Two of the guys he wiped out are out of level themselves. I'm guessing his correct NTRP is 5.0, UTR probably about 10.
NOHO had two players on the roster from the 2019 3.5 Nationals team.

One played Tri-Level earlier this year and played only court 1 (4.5) going 4-2, and played two 18+ 4.5 matches going 1-1, and has been undefeated in 18+ 4.0.

The other also played Tri-Level but all on court 2 (4.0) going 9-2, and played two 18+ 4.5 matches going 2-0 and undefeated in 18+ 4.0.

Yes, both should be bumped up to 4.5 at year-end.

NETX was pretty decent but we should have beaten them. It was 2-2 and on my match. I was up a set and a break and couldn’t pull it out in a 3 hour battle that ultimately went to a 10pt tb.

We had a better singles player that would have beat the guy I played but we thought Houston wild was the important match in our flight so we saved him but it turned out Houston only had a few UTR 5 singles players so we got the lineups wrong. We did beat Houston wild 5-0 and SETX 4-1

Nobody honestly has a chance to beat NOHO except Austin and that was over in the 1st match.

It’s a shame those two players didn’t get matched up in their match to see what would have happened.

Same would have loved to see the two way out of level players play each other too bad they mixed up the lines and they each destroyed their opponents (one was a utr 8 himself)

Man good try. That’s unfortunate to hear the scouting mishap made the difference. Hard to know when the more obscure teams will be good. NETX reminded me of when Waco won out of nowhere in 2019.
