T'fight limited Mod to Open Rad ?

Had a thought. Could I take a tfight 16x limited and bring weight and balance close to rad to get my long search for open pattern micro rad (that is still soft).

Was thinking replace leather with light weight synthetic and a smidgen of lead at 10/2.

Anyone have an opinion if would work and feel soft?

Ok, Lets assume it is the average Tfight ltd specs of 308 SW and 318 strung with a syn grip. The balance will be around 5 pts HL.

You will need to add 4 grams at 12 to get the SW to 320. The balance will then by 3 pts hl and will weigh 322.

This is a very hard stick to keep light. Mine is 5 pts hl, SW at 330 and static weight of 344.

As above, then replace the leather with a 10g lighter grip. With an overgrip and 5g of lead in the but, it should come to about 322g and 4 HL...

Kind of off topic, but how badly did HEAD drop the ball with these new open pattern Rads?

I mean everyone's been craving an open pattern Rad for years, going as far as paying obscene amounts for prostocks, and then when they finally do release an open pattern Rad, they make it ultra stiff (for a Rad).

Technifibre are geniuses with their 315 ltds. Pick your flavor of Radical: 18X20 or 16X18.

Very similar to how mine are set up.

How are yours set up exactly :). And do the play real soft.

Also, not a big fan of the ultra - rectangle grip shape..seen lots of threads on changing them out to more of a head speed/dunlop shape

You can buy pallets that mimic Wilson pallets. It's actually the pallets that the Speed lineup uses. They're called TK82S pallets and they are an absolute pain to hunt down.

A better option would be to just order Wilson shaped pallets from ****.

Cheers
