I’m not even gonna gloat bc that team around him is much worse than I thought. But let LeBron EVER go scoreless and 0-8 in a 2nd half of a loss…
Did you see the game where my Grizz dumpstered them?

He was 0-7 and had 2 points off free throws. Somehow Draymond managed a worse statline though

Edit: This brings me back too...if Grizz were healthy when they met in the playoffs 3 years ago the Dubs don't get that last chip.

your thoughts on potential butler to grizz trade?

I dunno. I think it's a bit odd that he's apparently said he's open to being traded anywhere but Memphis.

From the sounds of it though, it would be exclusively for a championship push this year and then basically clear off salary for the future to keep their core guys. They wouldn't be resigning him. I could maybe get behind that since I don't think they'd have to trade any critical pieces. Although Kennard would probably get included who I do like.

I just feel bad for @InsuranceMan at this point. Butler suspended again after walking out of practice. How do you feel about this? Who’s to blame? How did it come to this?
You talking bout practice!

Sorry, Marcus, but you are no Allen Iverson, my friend.

"No timetable, but Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson indicates Dean Wade could be out for a bit."

this team will end up in the same place as last year with multiple key players out for the playoffs...big tease

Cavs resting Garland tonight against the Heat...Okoro, Levert, Wade all still out...maybe Merrill too...sounds like they're willing to throw one...have to be back in Cleveland tomorrow to play the Hawks..I did watch the SNL music special the other night instead of the Cavs and I might go through my recorded shows tonight...dog days have gotten to me

Bronny just posterized a guy in the G League and scored 31 pts in a game.

In the Lakers' vs the 76ers he scored 0 in 15 minutes. Was it mostly nerves?
He also tried to go 1 on 3 on a fastbreak and got blocked.

He's apparently got a single digit field goal percentage in nba games.

@Kralingen I haven't been paying full attention but it's probably the Dort factor. From a gamba perspective, unders on primary scorers or ball handlers has been good play vs them.

I'm sweatin out JDub who forgets how to shoot every time i play him.

And of course the Demon Team beats the 38-6 historically great OKC even as Shai scores 52.

I’m done man. They’re winning the title. No one can stop them

OKC has not done anything historic this season yet. Honestly the Mavericks are still their fathers until proven otherwise. I'd say OKC choking before even making the final is still the most likely outcome.

Warriors will be the first team in NBA history to win the NBA Championship without making the playoffs. I fear what repercussions this will have on a once beautiful sport.
When they make a trade for All Stars at the deadline you’ll regret saying this. They got their demon back. 0 missed shots from halfway thru the 4th until the end of the game. Zero.

Thing is I don't take OKC seriously. They got a lot to prove to me. Was only just last Spring Kral wanted the Lakers to get them. Mavericks sonned em last year and 3-1 against them this year running hospital lineups.

OKC is going to choke. Book it.

@Kralingen now that you're back, what are your thoughts on the heat's pieces halfway through the season? I.e. Herro emergence, Bam regression, Ware finally a path from small ball, and possible Jovic potential

So, I have a vested interest in the Heat being bad (the hilarious Rozier trade netted Charlotte a 27 first, which goes to unprotected '28 first if Miami misses the playoffs this year). I've actually watched quite a bit. Much to my chagrin, they have some real young talent. Herro has been a baller this year. He's just so cold. He plays like how JJ Redick played at Duke, that same swagger, same shotmaking confidence, seems to make every three he takes when they need it. Ware is still raw (especially on defense, ways to go) but he's clearly a massive steal where they got him. Such a freaky athletic profile and can really play. Jovic as well is going to be very good, he's strong and can shoot. I'd like to see him get a handle though.

The issue is a) they're constantly playing catch-up on the athleticism and offensive talent front, they don't make many threes, and b) that Bam is now playing like Udonis Haslem on offense. Hell even Haslem had a reliable pick and pop mid range. I'm not sure what's up with him, he's still fundamentally sound but his touch is gone and he seems unathletic. with his contract they're sort of locked into the Bam experience and I'm not sure how it gets fixed. It could just be fatigue from the summer, but this Bam isn't taking them anywhere but the play-in.

They may have been handed a blessing with this Rozier thing. Getting out of his money early could be huge. They need a real PG - they never replaced Dragic and it really shows. and some real athletic guys on the wing imo. You can only do so much with the limitations they have. I think this summer's free agency will be crucial for them

His shooting percentage is now up to 9.1%, but he hasn't played a lot of minutes and he shot better last game (1 for 6) and also made a few good passes.

Free throws at 100%.

RE: Terry Rozier

Heard through a friend who’s friends with someone in the Cavs org that Terry wasn’t the one who was doing it but somebody close to Terry, I forget could have been his father, was the one who ran with the information basically. Apparently Terry didn’t really do nothing wrong. Not really a weaker source than a friend of a friend but putting it out there

Makes plausible sense.

My defense for Terry is that there’s a toooon of people in the information flow for something like just being aware of an injury. Likely what happened is a fair amount of people knew he was hurt pre-game. Agents, team staff, assistant coaches, trainers, medical personnel, friends and family, other players, etc. etc.

So it’s very possible that someone knew he had a foot issue that he was gonna test out and leaked it without involvement from Terry

I feel like Terry can carve out a niche for himself & stabilize his ppg if he cut and drove more. He’s so shifty and acrobatic, we don’t have anybody who can finish that athletically on this team. Tyler has gotten better since he added like 20lbs but it’s not super explosive but he can finish through contact more now. I thought for sure one of the biggest draws when we picked Terry is that we could elevate and get to the cup, finish with some touch. His decel is good too so hitting the floaters as well. Nobody on this team has been capable of that since Oladipo.

Or maybe they playing moneyball like the rest of the league and the stepback 3 is better. Who knows. But not sure the numbers work out with the 28% 3p%. His ts% is actually surprising to me, out of 11 szns this one is tied (two way) for 5th best at 51.7. I think it’s inflated by garbage time tho, gotta be. I’ve been watching and it ain’t 51.7 man. Even still that’s like 4 pts below league average.

Nah Borrego got in his head and convinced him that he’s an elite shooter and ever since it’s just launching 3s. Hornets fans really got tired of him by the end, because he only plays hero ball. He had a Mickey Mouse hot streak last January which made Miami trade for him but that may have been the worst thing for him, he needs to be a defensive guy who can drive and create his own shot occasionally. Now he plays like Dame

I wish he was better than he is. So talented

Agreed, think of the damage the Dubs could cause as the 11th seed? We have NEVER seen a double digit seed this terrifying. Or an 11th seed for that matter.
Jimmy the man who single-handedly orchestrated 3 elite playoff runs in the past 4 postseasons. Mixed with Steph the ceiling raiser and culture setter and the “best teammate and offensive player ever”

How could that team lose?
