The 2025-2026 NBA Season

I’m sorry for ever doubting you, LeBron. The one athlete in my entire lifetime I ever trusted. We’ll get our ass handed to us by OKC, but it’s OK. No one will hold that against us

crunch time for the Cavs franchise...at least Barrett's shot wasn't a season-ender, but if this team loses tomorrow night it will definitely start a rebuild

No team has repeated as NBA champion since GSW in 2018. Somewhat safe to say OKC might get monstered by the Spurs or the Timberwolves in the conference finals.

I think the Spurs beat them if Wemby really shows up, but they’ll destroy any other team

In fairness this is not the 2024 roster and they were still the 3 seed. Keep hearing the vultures are circling DW is it true? Haven’t watched a single game
In fairness it was still led by the Jays who blew a finals, lost to an 8 seed Heat, got embarrassed by them in the bubble, almost lost to them if not for a Butler rim out, blew multiple 20 point leads to the Knicks, choked to Lebrons Cavs in 2018, choked a 3-1 this year and I’m too mad to think of all the other chokes but I know there’s more.

There was zero reason to believe in the Jays even in 2024 is my main point. Nothing in their careers up to that point or in the two years after it proved I was ever out of pocket not believing in them. Jrue and Porzingis were just enough to beat the weakest West finalist in the last decade after a 2016 USO Djokovic draw to get there.

I don’t think you can be too upset at anyone but Tatum. Just a soft loser of a player. Do all that work to come back just to dip out in the biggest game of the season… I can’t support it. Blowing a 3-1 lead and quitting in Game 7 is in fact exactly what Kobe would do

Are we slandering Kobe now? Lemme pull up a chair hol up

Nah Joe not getting away with this. Embiid can barely move and you’re barely down and still only shooting 3s. He’s a worse Doc Rivers

The Celtics defense played well in the final 3 minutes and came up with some stops, including a monster block by JB.
Boston was in a position to win.
But for some reason, Boston went 0-for-7 from three in the final 3 minutes, in a tied game?!
Did not even attempt a two in the final 3 minutes. In a tied game?!

The GOAT Coach Red Auerbach must be rolling in his grave at the antics of this DEI hire.
:(

No comments on LeBron winning the series, Raul?

You were so talkative after he lost.

Tatum and Brown didn't seem upset after the loss

I guess that just makes them classy guys, congratulating Embiid...or maybe it's true these guys just make so much money it doesn't matter as much to them as it does to fans

and he's got his chip

Embiid: Don't Sell Your Tickets To Knicks Fans!

Joel Embiid, after helping carry the 76ers to a historic comeback over the Celtics, made a straightforward request to Philadelphia fans ahead of their next playoff series.

Don't sell your tickets, especially not to New York Knicks fans.

The Sixers rallied from a 3-1 series deficit to upset the Celtics in the first round of the playoffs, setting up a showdown with the Knicks in a postseason rematch from two years ago when New York fans flooded Wells Fargo Center after presumably purchasing tickets from 76ers fans.

Embiid pleaded with Philadelphia fans to avoid a repeat scenario from that 2024 series.

"I just have a message for our fans," Embiid said after the Sixers won Game 7 in Boston to eliminate the Celtics. "Last time we played the Knicks, it felt like [Philadelphia] was Madison Square Garden East. We're going to need the support.

"Don't sell your tickets. This is bigger than you. We need you guys."

New York fans were an overwhelming presence in Philadelphia during the rivals' first-round series two years ago, when the Knicks beat the 76ers in six games. Sixers ownership even attempted to block New York fans from purchasing tickets for Game 6, but the Knicks won the game anyway to clinch the series on the road.

Embiid publicly called out Philadelphia fans at the time, saying "it kind of pisses me off, especially because Philly is considered a sports town." The former NBA MVP revisited the topic Saturday night -- and even offered to assist financially.

"Knicks fans travel -- they buy tickets," he said. "There's going to be people who will sell the tickets because they need the money. Don't do it, we need you guys. We need the support, and we need them to be extremely loud. If you need money, I've got you."

The Knicks will host the Sixers at Madison Square Garden in Games 1 and 2 on Monday and Wednesday, respectively, before the best-of-seven series shifts to Philadelphia for Game 3 on Friday.

After missing the first three games against the Celtics because of an appendectomy, Embiid returned to the series in dominant fashion, averaging 28.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists over the final four games. The seven-time All-Star punctuated the series with 34 points and 12 rebounds Saturday as the seventh-seeded Sixers completed the NBA's 14th comeback from a 3-1 deficit.

Philadelphia beat Boston in the playoffs for the first time since 1982, snapping a streak of six consecutive series losses -- the last three of which included Embiid.

The 76ers had gone an NBA-record 0-18 when trailing 3-1 in a series. Boston was 32-0 when holding a 3-1 series lead.

Heard Rondo's name come up recently in regards to head coaching opportunities. Doubt we'd see Boston move on from Mazzula this year, but this collapse and his shtick are both getting kinda repetitive.

good call, wasn't that low, 94...but without Wagner they had no shot today in Detroit
Im so nervous for you . The Cavs came out looking exactly how I feared they would, disjointed, soft and completely not meeting the moment. Now we rely on game 7 James Harden to bail it out..

absolute frauds...missed Allen dunk to start the game, horrible quarter follows

missed layup by Schroeder to start the second, horrible quarter following

getting punked as always in the playoffs...soft and frauds

not nervous at all, will be glad that this era is over....but only if Altman is gone as GM with Atkinson and as many players as they can get rid of with their horrible salary situation...the rebuild will take 5-10 years

man, guy can't control Franz Wagner's injuries, but I know **** was building there, with Banchero and him...

The Orlando Magic have fired head coach Jamahl Mosley, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Mosley's tenure in Orlando finishes after five seasons, including three consecutive playoff runs from 2023 to 2026.

But Orlando was eliminated in the first round for the third straight season, falling to the Detroit Pistons 116-94 in Game 7 of their first-round playoff series on Sunday

Wembanyama not better than LeBron yet .

You need to be able to lead elite units on both ends, and his offense is nowhere near. Sure, his defense is actually GOAT tier, most impactful since Russell and motivated Wilt. But his offense isn’t even decent it’s actually downright problematic at this point in his career. Excited to see him improve in real time, core strength is just such a ceiling capper for him. Adding that, a pound dribble and post fade, and a bit more patience will help him.

The Wolves always give you a playoff show. Spectacular game. Made me feel alive

His offense is elite normally. His shot was just missing last night. He has an Alcaraz like inconsistency on offense.

It’s the first time he’s ever played a legit playoff game. The Blazers were not a real contender.

Idk if elite is the word I would use. He has crazy around the rim work because of his size but I’m not sure if his process is all that great. He doesn’t really move defenders or create that well and can be baited into bad shots and slow developing initiation plays too easily. Once he learns to keep his balance he’s going to be impossible to stop

LeBron is scything through them like a knife through butter. He has looked unstoppable even at his wizened age, they simply cannot handle his strength and scoring versatility, completely dominating with 12 points in 7 minutes.

In other news Thunder by 25.
