The 2025-2026 NBA Season

Knicks have two very good big men...granted, one can't shoot free throws, which will be a factor, but they don't have to struggle at that position...hell, the big turnaround for them happened when they changed KAT's role
True, however we are talking about the main man (7'4'') aganst the other main man (6'2''). All things being equal, the taller, faster, stronger, and younger man wins.

Mitch apparently had surgery and plans to play. Assuming he will have some kinda brace or just keep the finger taped.

Still laughing about how all the media folks are surprised about the anti thunder narrative. Like it all started last year even before they won the finals and many of them are acting like it's new.

stats gone wild...deep stat

@LegionHoops

NBA players are undefeated in Game 7s played on their birthday:

Paul George (2026)
Harrison Barnes (2016)
Pablo Prigioni (2015)
Udonis Haslem (2012)
Kevin Garnett (2004)
Scott Hastings (1990)
Walt Hazzard (1966)

Harrison Barnes turns 34 on Saturday…

Caruso dirty there. Hopefully the Spurs stay calm and finish out this quarter strong. Been a bit sloppy.

Also think they're driving into a lot of traffic and being a bit reckless.

Spurs just go rampaging on a run whenever the Thunder get it close. Silver handing them Harper last draft was a league altering pick. They’re unbeatable, unstoppable, unobtainable.

Has been a gross stretch. Caruso constantly falling down. SGA jumping sideways on after the pump fake to get three free throws.

Chet Holmgren is a human marvel. In my opinion the most underrated player in the NBA. He has top 10 impact. Just unbelievable optionality on both ends, he does everything, he can punish every single lineup thrown at him. Go small he’ll grab OREBs and win the rim battle. Go big w a C on him he’ll splash threes in their face and give an huge spacing advantage. He can play the 4 too, he can run a transition heavy system, he’s just an unbelievable luxury to have.

So so impressed by him. He truly is discount Wemby.
This may be my worst take ever… dude is just a complete mental midget, I overreacted to him taking it to Ayton and Jaxson Hayes.

Thunder have made a mess all over themselves with offense in the clutch. Cason Wallace as your closer is not winning a game like this… and Wembanyama now cements his GOAT status with an iconic victory.

I am now coming back to root for San Antonio after Ginobili’s times.

SAS-NYK, 1999 Finals rematch, when Duncan-Robinson Spurs got their first ring.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Arsenal's European Cup final performance of 2026?
irnic.jpg

Nah, Sidious. Gonna have to love you and leave ya. Spurs are about to win the Western Conference.

Ironic, isn't it? Arsenal lost the European Cup final on the same night Spurs won the Western Conference Cup final...
irnic.jpg

Sure is, dude. Bye.

The potentially scary part now...does OKC make the push to get Giannis?
Presti calls Milwaukee tonight if he’s serious. Chet and JDub both getting max contracts is legit laughable. JDub, a young player, and the picks, and go get your Giannis. Thats the only way anyone has a chance against this superteam for the rest of the decade.

Krals Knicks brethren saying they’re going to sweep. I believe Kral believes SAS was the easier matchup like his cohorts apparently do.
Nah I think I was pretty consistent predicting SA would win. Maybe if the Thunder were fully healthy (Ajay Mitchell shows up to kill LeBron and then immediately dies, how predictable) but without JDub and Ajay they have one ball handler and it shows.

Knicks were 100% rooting for Thunder tonight

Pretty consistent jinxing yes, but we didn’t know the reason. @NachoGPT and I will discuss. Kral would be in his Knicks scarf if it weren’t almost June.

We are all miserable sport fans. Last Sunday, my River Plate lost the finals of the local league championship against the team who sent us to second division in 2011 (the only time it happened).

I honestly don’t like Knicks fans they’re loud annoying and generally performative af. They remind me of Gunners fans actually . The videos outside of MSG are disgusting and cringe inducing

But I do think Wembanyama destroying the NBA for the next decade is a bad outcome. If he wins the 8-9 titles he has the talent to win, people are going to lose interest in the game and basketball may die

Is Wemby that good?
Do we really see him winning that quantity of titles?
I think his build is not as strong as needed to be on top for so many seasons.

As if Silver was going to let the thunder beat the spurs?

There's a better chance he will be retired in 8-9 years with his health problems and being that tall. Kral is just jinxing, nothing to see here. He has this weird fear Wemby will be seen as greater than LeBron.

Wemby is by far the best defensive player of all time. His impact on that end is so comically beyond any player’s, he is a 7’5” alien with game breaking ability just by standing there. His offense is up and down but only improving as he grows. This concoction means he is far beyond the likes of Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, LeBron James (the 3 greatest perimeter players ever) in terms of his footprint on the basketball game. I am comfortable saying he is the best player ever, but even if he isn’t, his floor is top 3 player ever.

The key to remember is this is the worst the Spurs will ever be. Silver handed him two top 4 picks in lottery luck in the 20 yr old supernova Dylan Harper and the 21 yr old Castle. As the Spurs grow into their talent, they will never lose again.

If even half of this is true, I believe you must be an exceptionally effective jinxer.

We shall see. I think this one is actually true (I don’t actually think Gunners or Warriors are that good, that is real jinxing)

He doesn't actually think this one is true either @Sudacafan . Do not let your Spurs fall for this. In fact this time last year he probably said OKC was winning 8 of the next 9. And that they'd be the ones to Thanos LBJ out of history. And 2 years before that it was the Celtics that would ruin the sport, per Kral.

Do. Not. Fall. For. It.

LOL I forgot how much I hated Haliburton last summer yeah that was probably a bit too far. I think that name was a response to the Haliban one

I still cannot believe how much you didn't want the Pacers to win that last year. We could have had SGA on zero rings right now. And kept them where they belong with zero aura. It's not like I even much like Haliburton or the Pacers, but compared to OKC? It would have been hilarious if OKC lost. And they're only getting more annoying. Glad the Spurs nipped that in the bud.

And I am actually with @marc45 now and think they (Knicks) have a better than good chance to finish this.

I am not sure which title defense was more disappointing, the Celtics or Thunder. Both had injury troubles sure, but both lost big advantages and failed to defend home court. Obviously whereas the Celtics was more disappointing on a personal level, I think Oklahoma City's is the worse loss in reality.

Good job he doesn’t have tattoo’s, I thought it was Machine Gun Kelly out there.

Wonderful stuff. One more for the good guys.

Good day eh? :D That was fun. All that was missing was an SGA airball that hit the upper tier to end the game and complete the symmetry.

Reminded me of the finals against the big bad “I’m taking my talents to talents to South Beach” Heat. They were all old back then, Duncan, Ginobili and Parker. Kawhi and Danny Green the only whippersnappers. They turned the clocks back in that one, they turned them forward tonight. Can’t say I really expected a win in either series, although this one was a lot closer. They pummeled the Heat back in those finals. I think anyone for the Spurs who attempted a 3 pointer was over shooting them at over 45% for the series, or something crazy like that.

I don’t really know where to look for basketball stats, but I remember they hardly missed.
