I don't think he has ever won all 4 leading up to RG. I believe he skipped Hamburg in 06 and won the other 3.

I'm not getting into the main rubbish of this post, but thought I'd take on a little factual problem with your OP. While Gaudio's win well have been a fluke, to say Coria making the final is also one just demonstrates a lack of tennis knowledge. He was widely considered the best clay court player in the world that year, and was one of the heavy favorites. In fact, prior to the tourney, oddsmakers in Vegas and all over Europe gave him the leading odds of winning the thing. The only fluke was his choke in the final, which led to his subsequent unraveling. He was no more a fluke than Courier, Bruguera, Guga, Ferrero or any of the other clay court specialists who did well at Roland Garros.
