The Ascent To The Throne Begins For Felix Auger Aliassime

"Ascension", not "ascent"
You are wrong, and this is the absolute best reference to separate synonyms. Find them under "ascension" on this page at Google Books:

WTF...

FAA retires after 3 sets with cramps?

How did that happen? It's only 81 degrees Fahrenheit (27 Celsius), 37% humidity, and it's cloudy. Almost perfect tennis conditions.

You’re right, I concede. In either case, there is no real ascent or ascension to the throne for Felix

FAA looked really bad against Bergs in the United Cup (Bergs was also playing very well). I attributed it to extreme early-season rustiness, and I believe a mild illness was reported, but now we must ask whether there's a deeper, systemic explanation. Hope he doesn't have some kind of chronic ailment. FAA's comments after retiring seemed to indicate that he himself was puzzled by the sudden loss of conditioning.

That is strange, considering last early season he won a title right off the bat.

Same people wondering why he lost also say Fonseca will win a slam LOL
Some may want to look at a very similar issue, on the same day, with another Canadian player, Marina Stakusic, in the women's competition:

also they may wnat to look at:

A devastating display of controlled power tennis from Felix Auger Aliassime in semi-final action at the Rotterdam Open on Saturday evening. The Canadian, who is seeded second, beat the no. 3, Alexander Bublik, 6-1, 6-2 in 54 minutes to advance to his second singles final in two weeks. Towards the end of the match the Kazakh was struggling to win points so well was his opponent playing, and indeed he was able to win only four points in the last five games, three of them in the fifth game.

FAA broke serve four times while never facing a break point himself. He had a first serve percentage of 70% and won the point 98% of the time he got his first serve in (27 out of 28 times). He hit 25 winners and also won 11 out of 12 points when he came to the net.

In tomorrow's final FAA will face the top seed, Alex de Minaur, for the fifth time. The Canadian currently leads their head-to-head 3-1 and won a memorable match the last time they played, in the quarter-finals of last year's U.S. Open.

yeah, felix was playing tennis and bubles was walking around lol it was no contest.

Disappointing to see him run around his backhand so much. He's going to have to fix that if he wants to see success outside of the indoor season.

If I were Felix, I would focus on getting into the top 50 on return games and the top 5 on serve. Currently stands at 61 and 8, respectively.

He's doing ok this, year, so I think he needs to focus on one number, % Break Points Converted. Bring that up and his whole career could shift.

Not a bad effort from Félix in Dubai. He was outclassed my Medvedev in the end, and fell apart there a little bit, but still good stuff this week.

His backhand continues to let him down, but he's just going to have to work through it. Looks like he has made some minor adjustments which is good news.

i watched just a bit of the first set and FAA kept hitting to Med's backhand... solid plan lol

To see him fade in the first set today, combined with his retirement at the AO, all I can think is -- pickle juice and a banana before every match. It might not be clostebol, but it can't hurt anything at least...unless you're Nadal:
