I know a lot of people (myself included) use an overgrip over the replacement grip. But some people use just the replacement grip.

What are the benefits and drawbacks of each? Does a replacement grip really last that long? I know the Head hydrosorb feels pretty comfy.

I played without an over grip throughout my HS years. They hold up really well. However I now use an over grip to avoid replacing the replacement grip as I find it much harder, especially if the grips leaves residue. Plus I like the feeling, that an over grip provides, of having a fresh grip more often .

I don't use an overgrip. I've just never liked the feel of them. I change my replacement grip 2 or 3 or maybe 4 times a year.

I use the Wilson Contour because I like the textured grip. (Boy - I'm really tempted to make a dirty joke - but I'll just let it pass). After awhile the grip becomes a bit smoother, and that's when I change it out. Yeah, it feels "good" the whole time - it's not like it starts hurting or anything - but it wears down after awhile.

I 'm thinking of getting the prince resipro. What do you think of it? How long will it last?
