Such an epic win grom Davy. This 250 win was much better than many masters.
Nadal was playing so well it was silly. Seriously epic win from Davy

Pretty much2010 Doha > 2022 AO
Though tbf it required fed's level to dip quite lower.Wimbledon 07 was an eye-opener for me. Nadal looked really determined and played with belief that he can dethrone Federer on grass. Little did I know, then, that this match was foreshadowing what will happen a year later.
You have the right to remain silent, sir.You are entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine.
If drama quality is considered then 2021 RG is right up there.I don't think they really have any real classics apart from the big three - AO 2012, RG 2013 and W 2018.
Most four set matches were step down in every way.

the best match michael nadal has played but lost?
2008 was very weird. It was obvious that Nadal's shots are much safer in the encroaching darkness and the frustration was getting the better of Federer. Nadal stalling was working for him (200+ seconds on one of the changeovers). I always put the result down to Roger's stubbornness more than anything.Though tbf it required fed's level to dip quite lower.
And nadal played a better match for the most part in 2007, especially off the shotmaking front.

Wimbledon 07, Fed was clutched and that saved him big time
that one stung as much as 2012 AO as a rafa fan. rafa was playing such great tennis there. djoker almost didn't even go to the tournament and then the roof debacle. rafa wanted it open the next day and it was left up to the players and both had to say yes to opening it because of the obscure rule wimby had in that is now changed.I narrowly will go with Wim18.
Of course, it was a very high level from both. Maybe, I elevate it because it was unexpected - at the time - for Novak to return to great tennis, and for Rafa to return to a very high level on grass.
Maybe because Nadal ran a bit out of gas after the 3rd set. Which makes his later heroics that year even more impressive.Missing Miami 2005, although I'm not expecting that to be a popular pick.
Nadal 2018's net rush would be suicidal against 2008 nadal.Oh how I'd like to see how 2007 & 2018 Wimbledon Rafas would look matched up against each other.
Such opposite strengths and weaknesses.
Well then it's a good thing he wouldn't be playing 2008 NadalNadal 2018's net rush would be suicidal against 2008 nadal.
2007 Nadal could do that as well, you know.Well then it's a good thing he wouldn't be playing 2008 Nadal

Nothing wrong with the takes just not as interesting for if they are not your serious takesWould they be reasonable if they were someone else's?

Yeah sureI can answer this as soon as I conclusively determine whether the best match Federer ever played and lost was 05 AO, 08 Wimby, or 19 Wimbledon.
Backhand DTL easy putaway at net while serving 4-2 30-15 to gain 40-15 advantage and go up 5-2 in fifth set.AO 2012 F.
Was it a backhand dtl to get another breakpoint in the fifth that he messed up?
Something like that.
Wimbledon 2018 - The best match Djokodal ever played.
The physicality(esp. movement) and return of Nadal were at a different level in Wim 07 final compared to Wim 18 semi. better serving in Wim 18 semi cannot make up for that.
While Wim 18 semi was more even than AO 12 F/RG 13 SF, I'd rate the other 2 a bit higher because they hit higher highs and were physically better.
We will agree to disagree here. No problems.
I can understand the ratings b/w the 3 Djokodal matches in any order.
But strong disagreement on the first part from me. No way is Wim 18 SF a better perf from Nadal than Wim 07 final.
So yeah, agree to disagree.
