The Big 3 era is over.

I always seen the last 20 years as a domination between Federer, Djokovic and Nadal (In no order).

I never understood the fanwars between the 3 groups of fans mainly because I wanted Murray to win those slams.

This most likely is the changing of the guard, a new era with Alcaraz leading the charge and to be honest this needed to happen, for Men's tennis to evolve it needs new blood at the top.

Lastly I know Djokovic isn't widely liked for many reasons compared to Nadal and Federer but I hope fans of tennis will in time respect his contribution to tennis, I used to despise him every time he beat Murray at the Australian Open and that was immature of me.

To me the best level of tennis I ever saw was 2007 AO Federer def Roddick. I'm still waiting to ever see that level on display from this young generation.

20 years have passed and they gave us tennis of the highest level, but Carlitos Alcaraz is a mixture of these three and promises to take this sport to another level.
:)

Covid pretty much killed it prematurely but 2019 was the last gasp really.

20 years have passed and they gave us tennis of the highest level, but Carlitos Alcaraz is a mixture of these three and promises to take this sport to another level.
:)

Still waiting for someone to explain how his style is suppose to impress me. It's not Becker, Pete, Roger, Agassi, Nadal or Wawrinka.

Well, it may not be over, but we finally have someone who can step up and take titles from them in Alcaraz. Let's see if some of the other youngsters can round into better players. Great to see the torch finally passing. Glad to see Alcaraz overcome the toilet break and "injury" of Djokovic in the final. He kept his focus. Also, glad to see that Djokovic did not play badly. He was just defeated today.

Reminds me of Federer taking out Agassi, actually.
