Almost three years later and 9 Grand Slams...Is OP still wishing for them to stop winning, or his soul got sucked too

If they wanted to cut down on 3 guys winning everything they should have switched the surfaces to the old conditions back in the late 2000s But the saw the popularity of the big 3. Problem is you can’t follow it now. So they screwed the selves long term. Short term gain for long term destruction. That seems to be corporate America now in a nutshell

They created the monster Federer, so to control the monster they slowed down courts more to favor Nadal, while Nadal couldn't subdue Federer completely that created a new monster Djokovic who finally stopped Federer and also stopped Nadal, now who will stop Djokovic ? There are no more monsters in line, Tennis is destroyed, they should have never made all the courts same.

Maybe Fed would have crossed Pete by 2012, Nadal would not have crossed Federer and Novak would have crossed Federer or at least come close to Fed's tally by 2023-2024 and we would have had many other guys who won titles in between, Tennis could have been saner with Fed-Nadal-Novak slam tally as 17-15-16 types....

Federer simply did his thing. He won his first slam in 2003 and had the slam record six years later in 2009. He didn't have to rely on generation after generation of LostGens to earn the slam record.

Tennis will be fine without the big three and it's about time it happens. And it's more like the big one now. Fed is pretty much done and Rafa (and his foot injury) ain't far behind. Djokovic might still win a slam or two, but after a lost generation, the younger guys (Zverev, Medvedev,...) are finally catching up.

Until they step up in a slam, they will still be behind... Best of 3 at the Olympics is one thing, Best of 5 in a slam is another...
