The big 3 is gone. Carlos is trash on hards

What’s stopping sinner from decimating Fed, Pete and djoker on hards? The only question mark is grass and clay but make no mistake he’s very good on both

If nothing else. Sinner should end up HC GOAT even though he won’t reach 24. He should get to Sampras status and be HC GOAT by retirement. Sinner will be GOAT of. something. At least hardcourts

I know OP is just trolling, but can we at least save these threads until he has 1 US Open title first?

I’d settle for “until he has 1 US Open semi-final first”. Djokovic also only had one slam title on his 23rd birthday, but he had made the semis of all slams before he turned 21.

Djokovic had two other goats to challenge him and Sinner has nobody to stop him. It's not far fetched to think he can win 14-15 HC slams.

He means he will have more HC slams than both and he's right. Carlos has regressed on HC and Sinner is the top dog. There's noone to challenge Sinner on HC

Sinner decimating peak Fed on hard courts. :-D Bro, you've lost it.

Maybe wait til he actually wins the title. Lord knows we've seen users like NeutralFan embarrass themselves declaring things before they happened for Sinner.

Said he'd win CYGS. He failed. Losing to Alcaraz funnily enough.

Then said he'd win Wimbledon. He failed.

Let's wait to see if Sinner actually wins this US Open hey? After all, him and Alcaraz have the same amount of slams on hard court even though Carlos is 2 years younger lol.

I'd say it's far fetched at this stage, at Cincinnati there was only a few points in it between him and Zverev, who is to say Z can't win in b05? Medvedev arguably choked the AO final this year, but he beat him at Wimbledon who is to say he couldn't replicate it in NY? Alcaraz already beat Sinner at the USO before, and Indian Wells. Even if Sinner is favoured over him on HC in the years to come, it doesn't mean he's going to win every time against Alcaraz.

6-7 slams for sure, 6-7 Wimbledons, Probably Not.
Yeah, Sinner only has one slam and their saying he'll win 14+ hard court slams? That's insane.

I think people forget that tennis players don't usually play to 37+ like Djokovic has and what Nadal/Federer/Serena did. Retiring at 30 used to be the norm. Sampras was 31 when he played his last match, Courier was 30, Graf was 29, Safin was 29. Look at Thiem and Ash Barty more recently bowing out rather young.

So unless Sinner is to play 15+ more years, OR win every hard court slam for the next 7 years, I don't see it happening. Considering the injuries and his use of steroid cream at the young age of 22... definitely not.

Djokovic is the GOAT, Sinner has not yet proven anything other than slam winning capabilities.

Nobody saw Djokovic winning 7 Wimbledon titles back then when he was busy losing to washed up Safin and Berdych on grass. Wimbledon suits his game and he will win plenty of Wimbledon given the competition and he match up well against Carlos there , won Halle .

Kind of like when It was predicted Sinner would win 6-7 Wimbledons at least.
Look, I like you and Darcy.

That said, plenty have said outlandish things about what Carlos the shepherd will do but nothing from silence from you guys there.

Neutral has made some wild claims about Sinner, but right now, as of today, his seem more likely then some of the Carlos predictions I have heard.

I am not a sinner fan nor do I see him racking up slams, but right now he is dominating just like Carlos was. So if sinner wins here and has 2 with full momentum going into AO where he won last year...

Then his claims are just as valid (still wild) as any Carlos predictions I have seen.

I never made any wild Alcaraz predictions nor have I heard many wild Alcaraz predictions, The difference is that most Alcaraz fans are conservative and don’t make wild claims whereas Sinner fans are the ones that make crazy predictions to win dozens of slams.

Sinner could win 6-7 Wimbledons for sure but predicting It or guaranteeing it before he has 1 is dumb

One day I will search them all and make a thread lol.

He isn't the "30 slam king" for nothing. I think many are downplaying their projections and backtracking now. But the receipts are still there.

Most people that predicted Alcaraz to win 30 slams are just hyper-reactive trolls, You can’t seriously predict someone to win 30 slams Before their fifth.

Kind of funny to think Big 4 belong to Former Pros forum. How time flies.
We had an unimaginably long run all things considered.

80s Big 4 (Lendl, Connors, McEnroe, Wilander) essentially had a 6 year window.

Agassi-Pete era lasted 12 years at a max with several gap years equating moreso with 8 seasons.

Big 3 was 08-19 pretty freaking solid save for arguably 3 seasons. Yet we routinely witnessed one of them from 2004-2023....

Sinner is not winning 15+ hcGS, 8+ YEC and 30+ hcM1000 titles, so don't worry.

I agree with some of this but on the 2nd paragraph it seems playing until 37+ is the new norm in tennis just like doing gymnastics until nearly 30 is the new norm. Advanced training, science, knowledge, health, and of course PEDs is making it so. We need to get used to a new normal. I expect, as long as he stays relatively injury free, Sinner to have a very long career, which is the new normal in tennis.

OP, at least lets see if he can win this USO as he is predicted by many, including me too.

Because if he cannot do it, then I'm not too sure on him beating those HC GOATs who delivered time and time again when they were expected to.

Well Sinner gotta win this USO if he's indeed the true new undisputed HC king, no excuse.

He will have a long career for sure, Whether He will win slams into his 30s or even late 20s Is yet to be revealed.

Alcaraz would be like Borg, the king of grass and clay, the unlikely combo.
Alcaraz is better on Hard than Clay Imo, Clay suits attritional styles and patience while Alcaraz lacks both and is Instead very aggressive and has lots of variations. (Suits Grass more)

Not enough closetbol in the world for this to happen.
