The Big 4's Best Performance at Slams.

Regarding Federer's best RG level I have thought the same, that 2011 was his best even though he wasn't great throughout the year 2011, but many Federer fans here do disagree with that. Can't be sure. Has to be either 2011, 2007 or 2006.
I believe if that drop shot by fed had been 1/2 inch over into the court - he may have won the match - he was dominating Nadal up to the point. But he let the out call scramble his confidence.

Agree with most of those.

AO05 is an interesting choice for Fed. I agree. He was in destruction mode that AO, blitzed Agassi and had mps against mythical peak Safin. Most will go for AO07 because he destroyed Roddick but the truth is, his match against Safin was way more impressive despite not being good enough to win it. Roddick was garbage in that AO07 match...

As for Djokovic, I'd go with 2011 for his US. Got through much tougher opponents.

The no wind thing is a meme lol imo it’s true but you can’t discount the wind.

Probably 2011 overall yes.

Going with a mix of performances/how impressive and epic I found it. Not necessarily purely level of play

I'd change the AO for Murray to 2012.
Yeah I went back and forth on 2012 vs 2013. Just so crazy how Andeh let a feather of all things get to him :alien: I thought about USO 2008 too because outside the F I think he was better there...but dat F performance

I also debated RG 2016 for Joker but that was a meh draw and no one really pushed him iirc.

I think either USO 2004 or 2006 would work for Ol’ Rog, but he let the wind get to him in the Agassi match.

I have trouble naming 2013 as Murray's best at the AO because he struggled to put away Ol' Rog who was much worse than 2012 Djoker.

If only Murray finished Federer off in 4 it would have been his best AO because it would have left Murray in better shape for the final :(

USO 2012 (should be 2008 if not for the final, but it’s not like 2012 was much better in that regard)

Nadal’s is the easiest to put together, Fed’s probably the hardest because he’s got multiple runs at each of the Slams that could be considered the best. Murray’s is second-hardest.

You know I think the standard of the 2012 match is a bit overrated though, at least in 2013 Murray didn't start the match so meekly - even if he did shoot himself in the foot halfway through.
Hmm, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this opinion from you!

Boy my younger self could use some formatting skills.

But I guess the rating stand except Djokovic's best RG was probably 11 or 13 and Fed's best RG is uncertain.

Fed's best RG is either 2007 or 2011.
Gonna throw in a 2005 mention as well. Underrated run, probably because he faced Nadal in the semis instead of the final, but he was in great form leading up to that match. And even that match itself was quite good. Would still rate 2007 higher but we’re sleeping on 2005.

I know he was good in 2005. Heck, the guy won Hamburg without dtopping a set and reached the semis without dropping a set too beating some tricky 3rd and 4th round opponents in Gonzo and Moya.
