Conspiracy theorist? Interesting. Wonder if the players dont feel the way people think they do about Djoker. Maybe he is quietly not admired?People questioning this (again) and asking why Djokovic isn't nominated must realize this award is about appearances and who the ATP wants as the face of tennis, and Djokovic has all but told the ATP to go f*** themselves. Plus he is quite volatile on the court although he takes losses probably better than anyone. Nadal will definitely win again and the award will continue being a farce. No offense to Federer and Nadal, but there have been so many great sportsmen who should have won this over the years including Anderson, Thiem, etc. but it continues to be the Fedal show. I don't understand why they don't see how ridiculous this looks and I refuse to believe the players are voting for them everytime.

I believe players admire Fedal quite a lot but I don't believe it's this huge love affair like the ATP wants us to believe. If that's the case then why are these younger players all but saying Djoker is the one who is the most helpful to them of the 3. I mean even little Rune and Musetti are saying it. Not that I think Djokovic should win this year because he shouldn't after that meltdown in Tokyo. LOL.

Will Djokovic ever wins this elusive award by the time he retires? It remain to be seen
I think they are doing a good job.Candidates are nominated by the ATP board and then players vote for them If I remember correctly
But Med and Zeverev love him. There was a meltdown at RG against Berrettini, too. That was out of line - not the type of behaviour that leads to Edberg Awards.
(I'm a Novak fan)Without irony i never understand why Novak is never nominated. He has done and is doing far more for the other players than Fed and Nadal combine still they never choose him.For me at the moment he is doing much not only for the other players but for humanity defending their freedom and right of free choise and fighting against the fascist who want mandatory vacination.
So ?Sampras, Agassi and Lendl never won this. LOL
But Med and Zeverev love him.
How do you decide between someone like Rafa and the likes of FAA/Ruud on who displayed better sportsmanship?I think they are doing a good job.
By that logic they beat Rafa as well lolBecause they beat him, no?

Translation: Any sport achievement that my favorite male idol doesn't have and/or doesn't have the most is worthlessAll these ATPs awards are western centric and establishment awards. Just another mean of the Establishment for rewarding his favourite sons. Nothing to see here, really.
Easy. Which one is not a NGBS?How do you decide between someone like Rafa and the likes of FAA/Ruud on who displayed better sportsmanship?
That whole olympics thing is such a western media award...Translation: Any sport achievement that my favorite male idol doesn't have and/or doesn't have the most is worthless
Sorry but nominated for sportsmanship of the year isn't base on player who play more or less. Djoko fans again making excuse simply because their idol can't win this elusive award.I agree that Djokovic shouldn't be nominated this year, but Nadal who skipped half of the season? This award is like Ballon d'Or in last 20 years. These kind of awards should never be popularity contests
Of course is worthless, corrupt, BS award. It became worthless long time ago.Translation: Any sport achievement that my favorite male idol doesn't have and/or doesn't have the most is worthless
It will always be until Nole finally can claim himself that he's an Olympic Gold MedalistThat whole olympics thing is such a western media award...

Just stating the hard truth here. If Rodge goes back to Nike he'll have a shot at this award again.Stay salty
Well you have to play if you want to show good will, respect and fair play... You can't do that while sailing on yachtSorry but nominated for sportsmanship of the year isn't base on player who play more or less. Djoko fans again making excuse simply because their idol can't win this elusive award.
Sportsmanship is an understanding of and commitment to fair play, ethical behavior and integrity, and general goodwill toward an opponent. It is an affirmation that an athlete is disciplined enough to have perspective, maintain poise and do what is best for his or her teammates.
Who cares about this useless award ? I mean honestly who cares , because i really want to know .
Doesn't that also apply to you though.Translation: Any sport achievement that my favorite male idol doesn't have and/or doesn't have the most is worthless
This. Novak's has had questionable on court behaviour, but what did the coaches do? It is pretty much because of the PTPAI don’t and have never cared about this award but the biggest tragedy is not nominating Vajda/Goran for Coaches of the Year. Guess the ATP really said “screw you” to everything regarding Novak.

"Rodge" didn't 'leave' Nike, his contract with Nike expired in March 2018. The deal was not renewed because Nike didn't agree to continue paying him after his retirement. He got a lot of year-end awards when Moet & Chandon sponsored them.Just stating the hard truth here. If Rodge goes back to Nike he'll have a shot at this award again.

Djokovic practiced with Rune when he was 14 and gave him advice. It obviously stuck with him since he remembers the conversation and the importance of what he was telling him. He also practices with Musetti and he's been on one of his private flights. Same story we heard from Medvedev. This is outside of the tour and they have their reasons for what they said.Maybe because he has been "just a bit" more active over the course of 2021; having played twelve tennis events, whereas Nadal's stats say seven and Federer's five, Djokovic being the most approachable guy only makes sense.
